Embid is heads and shoulders the best player in a game with Smart , Wiggins and Selden. It's not even close.
wow!!!!!

now he's throwing down left handed running hooks......

8 blocks today .

it's a long shot, but hope we land this kid, perfect complement to sully and rondo.

He's literally what the doctor ordered for this team... Ainge is probably salivating at the idea of drafting this kid.

A few games of watching him and I'm a believer. This isn't Thabeet or Melo. His fundamentals are amazing, can't believe he's only been playing a few years

Greg Oden at Ohio State didn't get me nearly this excited. And I really, really wanted Oden at the time.

Embiid is it.

Embiid is the best college C I have seen since Tim Duncan....his upside is ridiculous.  He is by FAR the best prospect in this draft.  As long as he stays healthy he will be the top C in the NBA in 3-5 years....

He is already better than Dwight Howard in the post...

Love his game.  We should give him the respect and correct the spelling of his last name in this thread with 2 i's, Embiid. Lol

Tharpe played lights out as well and Black and Traylor were great off the bench. Wiggins was invisible.

I am not a Bill Self fan. Cannot believe they had no answer for a simply 2-1-2 trap and really almost lost the game. Self has the talent to win the national championship even though they are young.

Marcus Smart had a tough game but he certainly plays hard. He is almost like Avery Bradley out there on 50/50 balls. How about that LeBryan Nash's dunk. Nasty!

Wiggins might turn out to be another Ben McLemore at Sacramento..i know its way too early but McLemore has been not doing to good and Wiggins remind me of him
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

He is not already better than Dwight in the post.  Dwight is actually really good in the post, even if his arsenal is limited and he's doing it against NBA defenders.  Embiid has a lot of promise but he's going to have to execute his moves quicker and gain strength to score effectively in the post in the NBA.

As far as center prospects since Duncan who also went to college, Oden was better.  In retrospect, the way Oden dominated Noah and Horford in the NCAA Finals game was just one indication of what he may have become had his knees not gone bust.

I'm really starting to like Embiid though.  Even if he doesn't become a superstar center, a two-way center who can defend the basket, score in multiple ways and also pass is a franchise player.

I still like Wiggins a lot though.  His jumpshot has to improve but he has the foundation of a very good driving game which is an absolute must to being a stud wing player.  He is not McLemore 2.0 because his handle is like Rondo's compared to McLemore's coming out of college.  If the season ended today, Embiid would seem to be the favorite to be the no.1 overall pick but it wouldn't surprise me if Wiggins turns out to be the better player.

Anthony Davis was an amazing player in college, and is also an amazing player in the pros, but his team is still headed for the lottery. After Bowie was taken over Jordan, and Oden over Durant, i'm not too fond of the idea of the C's going for the big man over the wing player. The two best teams in both conferences have two dominant wing players, not bigs. If Ainge has the first pick, i would feel more comfortable if he took Wiggins or Parker, even though Embiid looks like the best prospect at the moment.

I'm still for Parker or Embiid.......either one toss up

Wiggins could be the next Kobe or freaky good athlete like so many NBA player , but not a great basketball star.

Wiggins could be the biggest payday or much less than advertised drive to be a NBA champion......he is a gable fora team with a Really good big already like Pelicans. Or Pistons.

I go with th sure deal of  Embiid or Parker , then Randle .....these are winners

Wiggins goes 5  or 6  for me. Picking for Boson

Or do you pick Wiggins and flip him for Kevin Love

What's the best case scenario for Embiid? Dwight Howard? If that's the case, i don't think it's worth it. If the best case for Wiggins is Dominique, or if the best case for Parker is Carmelo i would rather have Nique or Carmelo than Dwight. The main reason is big men get into foul trouble too quickly in the current NBA, which neutralizes their effectiveness.

There's no comparison. Embiid already has better footwork and infinite more usable post moves compared to Dwight. Also doesn't seem to have Howard's personality, so that's also a plus.

I'd take Dwight without Dwight's personality over Melo or Wilkens, easy. But I think Embiid can be much more.
