There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

would be funny if we landed the #1 pick, Took Parker... and he went on a Mormon Mission for 2 years.
Why do I not find this funny?

 :(

LB would be stocked.

Boston could just tank for two more years! ;)

Is a nice tool.

Played with this thing about 10 times, if we dont land a top 3 pick looks like we are settling for Willie Cauly-Stein.

Same thing happened to me.

No one's perfect, but it seems that any of the top 6 or 7 guys in most mocks would be a solid choice, a guy who would (perhaps even instantly) become a franchise cornerstone.

I have to confess, however, to preferring a bigger guy. I understand the "best player available" argument, and I definitely don't want another Fab Melo, but it's also an indisputable fact that recent Boston teams have routinely been beaten down whenever they face legit bigs such as Hibbert, Lopez, Gasol, etc. (I'd think Danny would've learned a little something after the Lakers got approximately one zillion offensive rebounds against Boston in the 2010 Finals).

He probably learned that it's better to have a healthy team in a playoff series than an injured one.

It'd be funnier if the Celtics drafted somewhere other than first and Parker threatened to go on a Mormon mission unless teams let him slide to Boston.

I played it a million times. Most of the time we ended up with cauley stein at 8. Once or twice we fell out of the lottery, and twice we got Embid with the number two pick.

For the Cs Parker would be the best short term and long term first pick. He is so polished at a young age that he can step right in and be a focal point of offense. Cs could even follow the mold they attempted early this season with green playing the 2 and Parker starting at 3. Then Ab is resigned as a high minute 6th man.

Out side of top 6 I take cauley-stein DA can't use melo's failure as a deterrent. The kid has an elite defensive physical and skill set profile.

Parker is my number 1 as well. But if Embiid keeps progressing, i would be really tempted to grab him number 1.

At number 8, i am still on the fence with cauley-stein. I cant tell if he is more Tyson chandler or Ryan hollins. If they go big, i think Noah vonleh looks really good. He is big, agile, good hands, a force as a rebounder.

That's hard to turn down.

I still say the Mormon connection keeps Parker as Ainge's number one pick- and the fact that he's the best player.
I've been saying it for the last year when everyone else was creaming over Wiggins that Parker is my number one pick.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

No Danny!

Take Joel Embiid and draft a SF with the other pick if he wants a 3.

For a player thats supposedly "raw" he moves well on thr block. He's going to get atronger and more imposing. The upside is higher than Parker.

Draft Embiid.

If we fall out of the top 7, I think Danny trades the pick.
