Im sold on aaron gordon. Love his game. Better defensively vs parker or wiggins

I think Wiggins will be an elite wing defender in the NBA so I'm not so sure about this.

How are you making this assumption? Wiggins has been a so so defender so far. He gets outmuscled right now.

Not the case for gordon. Gordon is a tremendous rim protector for a pf/sf also. Something we desperately could use

Well, Wiggins shut down Jabari Parker in his second NCAA game. In the second half of that game, despite being in foul trouble (3 fouls) he decided to guard Jabari against Coach Self's orders. If Jabari is the best prospect, then Wiggins is an elite NBA defender right now.

I think Wiggins and Parker both will be great, different players, both All Stars. But with the #1 pick you have to take Embiid, he can be this generation dominant center and if you have that chance, you have to secure him.

Selden would be a decent value pick. I like markel brown a little better though if DA wants a sg with the 2nd 1st

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/67431/wayne-selden-jr

Local guy but I would not touch him with a ten foot pole. 10PPG is not too good.
So I guess Vonleh, Willie Cauley Stein, Embiid, Grant, Ennis and Andrew Harrison are all out too?

Silly me, I like to go a little deeper in my analysis than just looking up a freshman's PPG in January before making a final judgment.

Look at his stats then click on opponent sf stats. He is not playing consistent defense. With his athleticism he should be a stopper.

Either that or gordon is playing over his head

Nice mock draft but the C's have the 4th worst record right now.

I liked that quite a lot, except the bit where we don't get either of Exum or Embiid

Yeah, it took a little while to get together. We started it before yesterday's games.

Just my 2 cents here you could use the mock draft lottery from ESPN. Anyway good analysis on the prospects and team needs.

Good job. Saric is a darkhorse lots have forgotten about. I disagree with celts choosing austin with their 2nd 1st. After what happened with jajuan johnson and his wiry frame danny i doubt takes a other risk (on c/pf).

He will take walker Instead. Walker could go as high as 8 imo

And lastly cant agree with parker and wigginz being locks at 1 and 2. Its going to depend alot also with what happens at march madness. If gordons arizona wins and he is a key reason why, it wont be a surprise he goes number one.

Aaron stock rises again. I wish it would stop though. Less chance of us having a choice to draft him

Aaron Gordon=Shawn Marion.

Fine player, but not a building block IMO.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Yeah, I think they have similar profiles: combo forwards who play off the ball and whose defense makes up a lot of their value.  As funky as scorer as Marion's been, he still was able to average 20 plus points without Nash.  I doubt Gordon gets anywhere near that.  I also don't think he's as athletic as Marion who is quicker and morce fluid.  As good a leaper as Gordon is, his offensive moves are pretty robotic.  He's a really good all-around defender though.

you know what? How about considering he is a big part of Arizona being the only undefeated team right now? And they have beat Duke, UCLA, Michigan

The kid is a winner. Arizona is not like a stacked team either. He has been big. Big stats are not everything

Arizona's not stacked? What? Almost every rotation player on that team besides their starting point guard was a big time recruit.  They have three McDonald's All-Americans besides Gordon.  Including Gordon, they have about five NBA prospects of varying quality (Nick Johnson, Ashley, Kaleb, Rondae-Hollis).  Further, winning in college basketball does not equate to winning in the NBA.

That's a great looking mock draft.  Move over Chad Ford.
