Celtics need to learn how to play the last six minutes of 4th quarters because they have at least five blown leads in the last six minutes of games - Milwaukee, Washington, Memphis, Toronto, and now Atlanta. They should be 18 and 13 and not the other way around.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I was watching as Green stood the entire time, after he was pulled out....He seemed pretty PO'd....at Stevens or Bass...but maybe himself too...He was definitely trying to make a point to everyone watching.....Weird that Tommy and Mike chose to ignore this as the game went on.

Why wouldn't they ignore it?

Green was clearly angry that Stevens pulled him with six minutes to go in the third. When he came out, Stevens tried to say something to him and Green completely ignored him and stood at the end of the bench. In addition to Courtney Lee getting between them, one of the assistant coaches also went to either Green or Bass, I forget which one, and said something. It was really strange and I thought more strange that neither Gorman nor Tommy had a clue what was going on.

of course, another possible explanation is that the current celtics team is simply not very good, has uneven and mismatched talent, lacks a consistent scorer, and also lacks a strong leader.

crawford's poor decision making that went against the play stevens had drawn up maybe be a good example of the limits of this team. modiocre and poor teams regularly lose close games and dont execute well in crucial situations. that is one mark of mediocre teams.

i dont want this sort of poor decision making and limited talents to continue long on this team. it will take 2-3 years to replace these mediocre players with good players, but i believe it will happen under ainge.

until them, i dont get too upset over the losses and look instead to how players develop.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

At this point neither would be a great loss. One has heart but limited skills and the other has skills but limited heart.....I agree with Stevens on this one.

+1.... That being said, I say dump the Tin Man.

Although I wonder if the literal prior problems with Green's heart have impacted the metaphorical.  Even if so, he's still gotta go. (Please don't call me heartless for saying that.)

Stevens shoulda sent Green's sorry, pouting ass to the locker room.

Why wouldn't they ignore it?

Because they were the ones who brought it up in the first place, early on---that Jeff did not have a seat on the bench---they should have followed it up later---saying, for some reason Green is STILL not sitting....get Abby Chin on that stat.

Can't tell much from this clip.

Looks to be blown way out of proportion. I don't see any heated argument here. They were maybe arguing a bit back and forth, but it doesn't Green is going after Bass or some sort.

Didn't Pierce and Garnett argue all the time? Don't teammates in general argue all the time? I don't think this is that big of a deal.

Can't tell much from this clip.

Thanks for posting that clip, TP.

This actually looked a lot more serious to me than I thought it sounded at first.

*Green walking past Stevens and completely ignoring him not once, but a second time when Stevens walked down to talk to him.
*Bass was then yanked from the game and Green said something to him, with Bogans and Lee getting up to intervene- Then one of the assistants came over to tell them to calm down.

I was really surprised that Sully and Green didn't get any burn in the 4th quarter clutch minutes. I thought to myself 'please Jesus, let this be the tank dressed as Jordan Crawford'- but it probably had more to do with Green being disciplined.
I just couldn't understand why Crawford was back in the game and why he took Pressey out after Pressey's control and passing was getting us back in the game. Rather bizarre and taking Pressey out cost us the game.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
