I wonder if they're going to actually go that route. Have any big name NBA players used that route before?

Shouldn't he just play through the rust on Boston and not worry about the losses and weak stats?  Playing with teh Red Claws isn't going to do anything to prevent re-injury.  That's a move that only makes sense if #1 - They feel like reintroducing Rondo at this point would mess up their chemistry and cause them to lose or #2 - Rondo is worried that he will not be able to rack up double digit assists in his condition.

I think it would be fascinating to see.   Can Rondo actually get double digit assists surrounded by garbage players?   Doubt it.  Back in his prime, he probably would have dropped 20 points a night in the D-League, though.

Sort of. Stoudemire ran with D-league players to get back into game shape, but in that case they actually brought the team to him, and it was just for practices rather than a real game.

this is perfect can play a quarter or 2 and see how the knee holds up.

he can evaluate the talent on the team also.

he can ease his way in to game shape and get him confident

alot of good from this why not.

Stevens already taking advantage of D-league I love it

I think this is a pretty good idea. Would definitely help him get back into game shape and maybe shake some of the rust off. Any idea when he might be playing there? I live relatively close to portland and would like to go watch him play.

I think the decision will be Rondo's whether he chooses to go that route. They say it can be a possibility, but we'll have to wait and see.

Haha Bangor to Portland is a long trek, but I live 20 mins from the Red Claws arena so I would love this :)

Yeah. This weather is tough, and having a 1 year old makes it tougher. These are sacrifices I am willing to make though.

I like the new rule, it'd be good to see it utilized. Especially if the C's aren't practicing much and Rondo wants to get more 5 on 5 work in.
