Our draft night is looking better now that Horford will be out. Where do you think the Celtics will pick with their two picks in 2014?

Pierce and KG struggles and now Horford??

Even though we are doing better than many expect, the basketball gods still wants us to get a top 10 pick it looks like =]

did danny buy a box of voodoo dolls or something? bad for poor horford, but nice for the celtics.  :)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

hopefully they both do really badly.  can't say for sure until the season is over though.  please -somehow land us a top lottery pick!!

it's a shame about horford.  never like to see players get hurt.  but hopefully the hawks go downhill after this for the sake of our draft pick!!

10-20 range i dont see us getting a top 3 pick. we are not that lucky. what i'm hoping for is if this does happen we package the picks for an established player or move both picks to get higher in the draft.

Horford missed almost all of the 2012 season with the same injury.  Atlanta still made the playoffs in a stronger Eastern Conference and with a weaker roster.

He came back and played us in the first round and was incredibly annoying with his see you back in Boston taunt.....we had the last laugh though

anyway, I dont know why some of us are thinking this is gonna shove us into the lottery.  Unless Im missing something.

If Millsapp and Teague step up, if they can get good contributions from Williams and Korver and Brand, they may sneak in since the East sucks.

That Atlanta team still had Joe Johnson and Josh Smith to fall back on. They also had Marvin Williams, Hinrich, Zaza, Teague, TMac, I. Johnson, etc.

That team was much better than the current Hawks team.

Well, if nothing else it certainly has to make the pick itself a little more valuable as a trade commodity.  Not sure if that translates into much, but teams that previously thought of that pick as a 20+ pick should now be thinking anywhere from 8-17.  Obviously, the pick is now more valuable to us too.

If the miracle of miracles occurs, the C's Nets and Hawks all finish out of the playoffs and the C's snag 2 picks in the 8-11 range.  I think all 3 teams need to go into a tailspin soon for that to happen.  C's tough January will likely bring  them into lottery land, but it only takes one of the Hawks/Nets to make the playoffs (probably 38 wins in the East) to ruin the C's lottery fantasy.

I read that the Celtics have had the easiest schedule out of all NBA teams so far this year

Where'd you read that?  According to BasketballReference, the Celtics have had the tenth easiest schedule going into today's games.

Parker AND Embiid? Sign me up.

Just kidding... stinks for Horford. But this could potentially be great for us.

No depth, none, nada.

Their frontcourt rotation is Milsap, Brand, Antic ? And Ayon (what the heck is  a Gustavo Ayon?)

Not only is there no one to pick up the 18 and 9 of Horford, but now Milsaps life becomes exponentially harder with defenses not having to worry about Horford.

They are screwed . Hawks will drop like dead birds out of the sky.

If theyre lucky, they may get a post injury , circle the wagons bump like we did when Rondo was injured last year, but after that, unless they can get Asik without giving up Milsap, they're toast.

On top of that, both Jenkins and Demarre Carroll are injured.

They're down 3 to the Cats with 18 seconds left.

Go Cats!
