They're calling it a "shoulder injury", but I was watching it live and it looked more like a pec injury. He's had a torn pec in the past, so this could be devastating news for Atlanta, but good for our draft pick.

was it on the same side as his previous torn pec injury?

The previous one was to his left pec.

If Horford is out or a while, I can see the hawks going after Asik.

Something like Asik for Brand, Korver and the Nets 1st round switch option this year.

Morey wanted a first, and that s potentially a very strong first, so may require Montejunas too.

Really wouldn't like to see that !

I don't know, I can't see them trading a potential lottery pick in this draft for Asik just to make the playoffs and get bounced

Korver has been playing exceptional for them. Losing him would kill their spacing and hurt their overall offense. I would welcome that trade as a C's fan, since I think it would make them worse.

Or maybe the Millsap for Asik rumors will start up again. I don't see the Hawks giving up that draft pick now.

What's his status? This could be huge. I don't want anyone's career out in jeopardy but if he has to miss three months like with his pec then we could potentially have two top 10 picks in the 2014 draft.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Some questionable things may be said in this thread due to Cs fans so desperately wanting the Hawks to start losing...let's just hope the Horford injury isn't major, but him sitting a number of games wouldn't be the worst thing either.

It's too bad the Hawks still managed to pull out the win in double ot - this would have been a great loss.

I could see any of Boston, Atlanta, or Brooklyn missing the playoffs, but not all three of them, which that scenario would require.

with Lopez out, Brooklyn mssing the playoffs is virtually a lock. Boston missing the playoffs is very likely. If Horford is out, then this scenario is realistic
