As long as that ATL / BRK picks stays in the 15-18 range I'll be happy.

Good chance that a nice talent like McDermott / Young / Hood / Selden / Cauley-Stein slips into that range.
It technically is sorta kinda possible that both those teams fall out.  Brooklyn is almost .500, but a key injury could derail them, right?  If Deron goes out ?

Detroit, Cleveland and New York are all teams that could go on runs.  Actually, Boston could go on a big run too...

I played the lotto machine on ESPN, and 9/10 times got Gordon from Arizona, which was depressing.

none of those guys are likely starters. Not excited by them.

You can't really bank on getting a "likely starter" in that part of the draft.

I think any of them could be a valuable contributor, and that's enough for me.

I'd be happy with Gordon.  I don't think he'll ever be a great scorer, but I think nearly from the start he'll be a guy who does a little bit of everything and fills the stat sheet, whether he plays at the 3 or the 4.  I think he could help a team win a fair number of games, as long as there are plenty of other guys to space the floor.

Draft him, trade Green and picks for a center, and then start Gordon all season at the 3.  He'd be a heck of a lot more fun to watch than Green.

I think we all should start rooting for Kobe to get back ASAP and for the Lakers to start winning.  Right now they have the 5th best draft odds... we have 6th.  It would be a real shame if the Lakers ended up landing a superstar and we ended up with a "solid roleplayer".

Ugh!!  This just sounds shameful.  Who would have thought the great Celtics/Lakers rivalry would come down to a "tank" competition.

Pathetic.

Dante Exum is a big Kobe fan and wants to play for the Lakers. :-\

I'd read somewhere that Kobe and Exum have the same agent too.

Lol... can you imagine if they end up in the Top 3 ... one takes Wiggins, the other takes Parker and both end up living up to expectations?  That would be fun.

I remain a staunch anti-tanker, but that would actually be kind of fun.

It would be awesome except for the lottery fix conspiracy theories. The bent envelope crowd would have a field day with that one.

Paul Pierce grew up in Inglewood. Doesn't matter who their favorite player or team is. Just get them to Boston and they'll fall in love.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

sa much as I love the Laker rivalry, I'd be happiest with a Kobe return, Lakers rising to around the 8th pick or higher and getting only a 'solid roleplayer' that becomes a bust.  Natureally I want the C's to win the lottery but they've been just as successful in the lottery as I have  :-\

just looked at the standings and schedule for the next 2 days.   not that I'm rooting for the C's to lose, especially to the Lakers, but if the C's lose in the next 2 games against the Lakers and Kings, they 'climb' to 4th worst record.

if they lose a couple of days later in Utah, that would help put some space between them and Utah

I think for those hoping for the worst record possible this year, 4th is about has bad as you can get.  no way we'll surpass Mil, Phil and Orl in terms of record.

Looking through the Celtics' remaining schedule, I'm  not sure the C's will end up with more than 25 wins.

Only two games that are most likely wins (against Tankadelphia).  A lot of games against teams currently in the playoff picture, or angling to get there.

Still won't get ahead of Tankadelph or Milwaukee, but the Celtics could theoretically pull ahead of Orlando.

good call. lets face it on philly, they have no shame or sense of embarrassment at this stage. they have consciously and with great determination remade themselves into a truly formidable tanker. i am impressed, in a way.

4th place is fine and i would have no complaints. but i would be extra, extra, really, deally, happy if they could sneak into the top three....either by tanking or by luck. since the 4th place in the draft order has a 37.8% chance of moving into the top three stops it is not out of the question.
