Yep. Why rush him back? This gives us a clear idea of the chosen direction of this team. The tanks are back

If it wasn't for the Knicks and Nets, we'd be sitting pretty with a top 8 pick right now.  As-is, we're still right on the verge of the lotto.  Hopefully we can unload some vets for future considerations and tank this up good and proper.

Praying the Nets get it together without Lopez and even the Knicks. If we're still winning the Titanic by the trade deadline DA either needs to do what you suggested or somehow pull off a blockbuster trade that makes us into a legit playoff team. If this current team wins this awful division it's terrible for our future...

On a side note, great Raptors win in OKC. i could see them winning the division honestly

Rondo doesn't come back before the trade deadline maybe because he doesn't want to be traded....

He said I want to be a Celtic for life.   Who is going to trade for a guy they have not seen play after injury?

He is driving the car on this one.

Don't fret

There is still time for the Knicks with Chandler to pick it up and pass us........the nets really suck though without Lopez

Embiid ...Parker    Keep the faith

Rondo....probably knows th smart move is to stay out......let the Celtics tank and get a better draft pick.......he cn help best by staying out

You know he understands this......if he wants to stay a Celtic and build a team the fastest deal is to stay out

No no no! We need to develop a winning culture for all the guys on the roster. That way when danny trades half of them they can spread it to other teams.

Then once players see how committed we are to winning we can sign a big name free agent and draft a stud with the 16th overall pick.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

I'd bet dollars to donuts both the Knicks and Nets are ahead of us in the division by March.

We don't need to play worse...

Just need for the Knicks and Nets to play a lot tester than they have.......

We probably would have been worse with the old guys .

We will never be worse than the Bucks, Magic, Sixers, Jazz or Kings and probably Raptors...Our ceiling is probably the 7th pick.

No need for him to rush back. Take your time Rondo, we will need you next year. His health, getting our young one's lots of playing time and our draft position should be his number 1, 2 and 3 concerns  8)

Disagree......any of hose teams can easily beat the Celtics on. Given night ........even Jazz

We are maybe a hair better than three of those at best.........

I think Rondo  WAS poised to jump back in ......he thought the Asik deal was going down  TOO....!

Rondo sees the light of the situation , as does DA........

I think we'll see Danny trade off Bass , Lee , an d Hump to get cap space picks and help the team bottom out ........he can't sign a big man .....you go for the ext best thing......a lottery pick ;D

And don't we have Nets pick for 2014 anyways?  So this is still working to our advantage

And package Gerald Wallace with those trades if you can.  Can't stand that dude.  His undeserving contract annoys me, his loud mouth annoys me, his on court performance annoys me, and I'm sure if I have to listen to his deep ass voice long enough, it'll annoy me as well
