Yes. There is nothing like 125/150%+100K margin for matching salary. It is an exact number that you cannot go over.
Thread has been very helpful as I really didn't understand much about how the TE can be used.
But just so I am clear, the key for the C's to actually make use of the TE will be to somehow clear enough salary under the luxury cap threshold to be able to take back comparable salary in a trade (using the TE).
Am I correct that the C's, at present, have no wiggle room because they are at the luxury threshold and do not want to exceed?
Am I correct that in the hypothetical that the C's were willing to exceed the luxury cap threshold they are allowed do so using the TE in a trade?
