FYI re: Rajon Rondo rumor, Celtics & Kings have had no talks about him or any other player, I'm told by both sides. Nothing to see here...

The Sacramento Kings traded Greivis Vasquez in their deal for Rudy Gay and are now searching for a pass-first point guard.
- Chad Ford

after they traded their pass-first PG Greivis Vasquez...  ??? ???
BECAUSE they traded their pass-first PG.

Explaining the joke ruins the joke, brah.
There was a joke there?  ???

The Kings are a joke.

But at least they're not Maloof-owned anymore.

Babysteps.

But they traded for Rudy Gay.

From a "how to run a franchise so it's a benefit to the league instead of an embarassment" point of view, overpaying Rudy Gay is better than not reaching the salary floor.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Donny Marshall jumping on the trade bandwagon.

I really don't see this happening, I don't believe anything until Wojo comes out with something.

Donny is a dufus.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Donny is taking his cues from Gary Tanguay (making crap up).

Another beauty…..at least Tanguay called the Sheed signing a few years ago.

Or was that Dickerson?

BOSTON — Another day, another Rajon Rondo trade rumor that like all the rest this season, doesn't appear to be going anywhere.

This one comes from NBC Sports analyst Donny Marshall who said on Tuesday that according to "people" he is talking to, Rondo is "likely" going to be traded to the Sacramento Kings.

"You know how it gets this time of year," a league source told CSNNE.com. "People come up with this stuff, you guys write about it, tweet about it, whatever . . . It's sad. There's nothing happening on that front."

Multiple league sources have been telling CSNNE.com for months that no team is going to make a "legitimate" offer for Rajon Rondo until he returns to game action.

The four-time All-Star was recently given clearance to resume full contact in practice. While no timetable has been determined for his return to the court, Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said he could be back at some point in January.

While the Celtics have insisted that they have no intentions of trading Rondo, there's no question that Danny Ainge, Boston's president of basketball operations, is open to listening to any and all potential proposals.

"Danny Ainge is going to do his job, which involves listening to and talking to other teams about players, not just Rondo," Rondo's agent Bill Duffy told CSNNE.com. "But they have made it clear to us that they have no intention of trading Rondo. So I will leave it at that."
