This team is obviously not a finished product. They are playing hard, the starters are playing well. Brad Stevens is doing is job and coaching the heck out of these guys which has translated into a respectable product out on the court. But this is far from a finished product. Who knows what Dannys plans are.
As far as this current team goes, once Rondo comes back he is without a doubt the starting PG. And if you noticed, the bench scored 4 pts last night. Gerald Wallace is not a 6th man. He's a solid 7th or 8th man who can give you 20-25 mpg of hustle and grit. JORDAN CRAWFORD is your 6th man once Rondo returns. He can play PG behind Rondo. He can play the 2 with Rondo. He can score, distribute and close out games in the 4th quarter A LOT like what we saw Jamal Crawford do last night.
That's the ideal role for Jordan. Yet to be seen if he can do it. I think he can. He needs to embrace the history and importance of the 6th man role and do his best to become one of the very best in the league. He has that type of potential. And how nice would that be? to have a reliable combo guard coming off your bench giving you 15ppg? Something the Celtics haven't had in a long, long time.
