I can't see him dropping out of the top 5 barring injury.  woe be to the GM that passes on Wiggins if he lives up to close the hype.

I think he's far from another Lebron.  At age 17/18, the thing that amazed me about Lebron was his bball iq and his "court vision"  (remember those commercials?).

Right now, Wiggins seems like a fairly 1 dimensional player.  He reminds me of some mix of a more athletic Jeff Green/poor man's Kevin Durant.  That Rudy Gay comment seems pretty good, but there's just something about him that doesn't compare to Rudy Gay for me.  Can't figure out why exactly
rudy gay is a high volume shooter. wiggins is more of a slasher.

And as this thread is made, Andrew Wiggins is having a big game in Florida.
Big half....he sucked in the first half. Just drifted around and did nothing. Very Jeff Green like.

I feel you can blame that on Self's system as well. There's a lot of passing and I feel Wiggins isn't allowed to be as aggressive as he could.

Since so many CB'ers are convinced that we're not going to have one of the five worst records in the league, I kind of hope so.

No, his college play will not affect his draft position much. Front office and scouts know better than this. But I can see him not obviously being the consensus #1 pick.

I'm guessing it goes;

1.  Parker
2.  Wiggins
3.  Randle
4.  Smart
5.  Embiid
6.  Exum

Wow.  The guy who is still learning how to play basketball and can't guard his own shadow.  I don't see it.

Wiggins plays good D and team ball, nothing like Gerald other than both are crazy athletic.

As a freshmen, 13 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist.

Give Wiggins some time. I still believe he will end up being the best player from this draft class.

Wow. what are people expecting from Wiggins? To go out and chuck 20 shots? To disrupt the flow of the offense?

Yes, he reminds me about Green because he's clearly trying to help his team to win games. He asked Coach Self to guard Parker and coach didn't let him because of foul trouble, but the kid did it anyway and Kansas topped Duke. That's what you should expect from a top pick.

Of course he needs to develop his game, but that won't happen in the NCAA, unfortunately. Top recruits should go the Jennings route (to better teams with a solid prospect development system if possible) or the Singler route. Kyle Singler arrived to the ACB league after a full college career, but his game grew more in one year in Spain than in his whole NCAA career.

He'll go #1, and his game will translate better to the NBA than most of the guys people are listing, especially Randle/Parker.

Nope.

I feel like people suddenly forgot what college basketball is like.
