No poll.....if you want you can do it on a scale of 1 to 10 with 5 being average and then maybe you can give some comparisons like Kidd and Doc.

I think he's very good and I'm very happy he's our coach going forward.

This is my question for the ones not convinced of Stevens.   Who are the other coaches that could take this roster and do what he has done with it?  Is he not getting the most out of this roster? Does the team look like it's headed in the right direction?  What would you expect this coach to do differently?

I love Brad and his demeanor, rotations, and basketball philosophy. Many outside Boston thought it was a terrific hire and a steal for Ainge. They look right.

Hopefully he's in Boston for a very long time.

He's improving. In my mind, he started the season off as perhaps as a 3 on a 10 scale, he may have clawed his way up to 7.

Can't tell as it's been evident that his main focus has been in developing as a team, and within that team develop certain players, rather than to win games...

So don't know, we'll have to wait until the playoffs in my opinion to see what's what with him... though short term, what he does when Olynyk and Rondo returns will be quite telling.

But can't complain about much with our team's "success" so far, in particular when he's not overplaying guys. Jeff Green is playing the most at 34 minutes per game, the rest are either 30 (Bradley) or below.

I did not think I would be this happy with a 10 -12 team.  ,   But I'm pleased , because of far exceeding by negative expectations.

His first four games may have been about a 3, but he clawed up to a 7 a couple of weeks ago. Now he's humming along around a 9, which is extraordinary after a month in the league. I peg him as an 11 by next November.

yep. he is on the verge of turning chicken poop into chicken salad. he has done wonders with this ballclub. Much better style than the previous coach. I'll leave it at that.

I loved the hire, I thought Butler always played better than their talent level.   I think he was overwhelmed initially but recovered nicely.   I think our guys play above talent level too.

I will be flamed but I would have liked to seen him coach PP, RA and KG.   Is it just me or do we board now and still get back on D?

he's a 10 for me.. he got my full trust
with the talent we have, the number of new guys on the team and new coaching staffs... who would have thought that we'll be on this spot...

and i really like his calm demeanor... one thing i like about Doc that wish he can do is to talk to the refs, doc is good on establishing raport to the refs having some calls on our end in return

no, it is not you. he gets more offensive boards, and is trying harder to get points in the paint(tons of cutters, sully posting up, crawfor dribble drives and dishes) yet allows them to shoot the jumper when said person is hot.

We'll come back and evaluate when he has some true talent on this team and we're contending.  But for now he's doing a great job, 8 or 9 out of 10.

Stevens is a 9, and I'd challenge anyone who disagrees to pay close attention to everything he does: from rotations, to OOB plays, to style. He gets everyone playing hard all the time, and playing within themselves. His pressers are great:

"So, you just blew out someone by 20+ points in a quarter, is your team awesome?"
"We still need to get better."

What a heist of an offseason this turned out to be. Ainge for Executive of the Year.

I will be flamed but I would have liked to seen him coach PP, RA and KG.   Is it just me or do we board now and still get back on D?
Agreed with this sentiment. One of the most interesting "what if?" scenarios for the team, I think.

Not sure about that.  I think his age and inexperience wouldn't gel well with the massive egos of old veterans

He got Gerald Wallace to embrace a 6th man role for the first time in his career.

The thing that impressed me the most about Stevens was how he adjusted our early-season lineups.  We had AB at PG, and it didn't work, but Stevens didn't overreact right away, he got a sufficient sample size to be confident it wasn't working, and then immediately shifted.  Made the correction, but didn't rush and overcorrect.  Tough line to walk as a coach.

I think there'll be games where he'll look bad yet, but he's very promising so far.
