The expirings they took back are about a wash with what they had with PP and KG. Given that KG is so likely to retire for a combined total over $25M from them.

It will be interesting to see whether Danny ends up using the trade exception.

But what IMO is hugely valuable with Danny's willingness to move on is that he upgraded from Doc to Stevens as the coach. Stevens is just starting to figure out what he can do coaching on this level and already I've little doubt but that Doc wouldn't be have this team playing as well as it is starting to. The Stevens/Ron Adams combination is gold.

One of the more underrated moves this team did was bring in Adams.

I imagine he's a huge part of why the Celtics have a top-10 level defense. Terrific coach.

Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

I was very excited when they brought him in.  He's also known for helping players with their jump shot -- I wouldn't be surprised if he's the one who fixed Courtney Lee.  I also think his loss has negatively affected Chicago.  Hopefully Danny doesn't can him if he mouths off at a meeting.

KG can't play a whole game like Hump put in tonight......KG is nearly my all time fav. ,  but he looks so thin, weak, slow, and just disinterested in the whole Nets mess........

Danny fleeced the Nets.

I hate the walk up court , plodding , slow ,  old guys ......Ah the Nets basketball

Losing sucks ...but at least this team is young and it's fun to watch

yeah, i love KG and he was my favorite player since Bird, but we are really seeing what youth and fresh legs and good coaching getting the most out of your talent can do for a team. KG and PP were tired and slow and on their last legs for us last year. That much is apparent now. Energy is everything.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

they really look like they aged for 5yrs after their last play in Celtics

Due to age, but we've seen PP and KG still grinding it out in green last year, or could be the chemistry and the fair weather fans... there's no Celtics fan that will make themselves feel better even if they're losing, no celtics fans that we'll keep on cheering them for their efforts
