greg monroe is a glorified roleplayer, i've watched him a bunch of times this year and he doesn't impress me that much.
monroe's shooting % drops from 62% to 30%-32% when he is 3 or more feet from the basket. terrible. he doens't play much defense from what i've seen, the stats show that the team gives up a ton of points when he's on the floor.
and monroe's rebound % is just 15%, that's tied for 30th among NBA power forwards. granted, drummond probably grabs some boards away from monroe. but even so, that stat is reason for concern.
overall, this trade makes little sense to me, i think green has just as much upside as monroe, and bass is probably worth a late-first rounder on his own. add to that the fact that we'd have to end up paying monroe big $... i would rather see the c's make a big trade for either draft picks or a true superstar.
