Most everyone who is on a rookie contract , and worth the money it will take for a new contract will resign with the team that drafted them because they can offer more money , and the player coming off his rookie contract will be cashing in for the first time.
That means you can scratch off guys like Anthony Davis, Monroe, Drummond, sander
You might be able to trade for those guys down the line when their 2nd contract is running out, but until the its not likely
There could be some big name free agents in 2015 who are not coming off rookie contracts . Love , Aldridge, Marc Gasol are the main guys . Portland seems to be on the verge of contending again so I will take Aldridge off the list . Love is an LA boy so I see him joining the lakers as a free agent.
That leaves Marc Gasol as the main guy we could have a shot at . I don't see how Memphis is coing to be able to build a legit title contender over the next few years. They don't have a go to scorer to close out games , and can't see them putting together a package that would land them one without giving up Gasol. Plus Randolph is getting up there is age
Adding Gasol next to Sully would be amazing, dominant front court in the paint
I don't see to many other options than thos guys who are currently in the league.
My other realistic option would be Noah. He might want out if Rose isn't going to be the same .
