After that Lakers game they RIPPED Pierce and hate that he's on the team. He was turning over the ball in critical times.

so far it looks like Ainge dumped Pierce/KG at the right time...they look pretty much done on the Nets...and ainge was able to get so many #1 picks for them.

it's likely that next year KG retires and Pierce leaves(maybe comes back to the C's?) and we are looking at lottery picks in the future coming from the Nets

I agree with you completely. The trade was an absolute steal for us. We got 3 first round picks and a bad contract for two way past their prime stars.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

I think the Celtics should just trade for the Hawks pick somehow which is basically trading for a mid to late lottery pick since itll become the nets pick

How about this.  We make a trade with the Hawks that help them this year for the rights of the better of the picks with some sort of protection if the Nets end up with a better record. If its even possible to do a deal like that.

Given the way people have been talking about the draft class of 2014, why would the Hawks give up their shot at getting one of those players for anything less than something that would make people think they have at least as good of a shot at winning a title as Indiana?

He did this in the playoff last year ,  turnovers and went cold.......it killed us against the Kincks

The Nets fans need to come to grips with the fact that Pierce and KG are old and NOT going to led the way to a championship, they are the role players and bench.......

If.   Nets can't put a healthy LOPEZ. , DWill , and Joe Johnson and Blatche on the Floor most of the game ,   Sorry folks .....the Nets will suck ......No LopEz no title hopes.......

They aren't winning without their starting Five playing most of minutes

The Nets don't deserve Pierce & KG. Their fans are just as stupid as their owner & GM for not realizing that PP & KG are not players that can carry a team during the course of the regular season any more. They are there for the 2nd season, that's it.

If I recall correctly. Last yr. the C's started off the season much like the Nets have this yr. then it seemed we figured it out that the younger guys needed to be the ones to do the heavy lifting during the course of the regular season.

If the Nets have any hopes of salvaging their season Joe Johnson, D Will, & Brooke need to be the focal point...& maybe try getting a real coach that realizes these problems.

  • You say when......
Well..PP cannot cover anyone anymore....not at his spot....KG only wants to shoot just inside the three....but their center and pg are out.....they may do better...but you CANNOT play pp and kg so much...and so early in the season.....

This may be true - but Kevin and Paul are playing really very poorly. It is precipitous drop off. Blatche is totally outplaying KG right now. They can't be expected to carry the team any more - but they can be expected to play better than a D league player.

Right now they're being asked to do too much. Again much like the way we started last season. They should be thought of as role players right now. I'm almost willing to bet if we had a player like Lopez last season we would not have been bounced so easily...we at least would've beaten the knicks.

If we could have relied on players like a Lopez and Green instead of Pierce and KG they(Pierce & KG) would've been way more effective during last season's playoffs. They're both clutch players that can deliver big plays still but at their age they can't and shouldn't be asked to do it for 38 - 40 mins a game these days.

If the Nets and their fans were expecting that... well then we robbed 'em and shame on them for being dumb.

Pierce and KG aren't asked to play big minutes or carry the team.  They play like 20minutes a night.

The Nets are horrible so far, but if everybody gets healthy and plays together, they will be a difficult playoff out.  Seeing them struggle like this makes me appreciate Rondo even more.  A true pass first PG can meld a bunch of stars into a cohesive unit.

D-Will has only played nine games, and his 54-24 assist to TO stat shows how much he's struggled in them.  One big problem with this team is at the defensive end.  You don't win a lot of games when the opponent shoots 45% overall and 40% from three, and out assists, rebound, steal, TO and FTs you.

Ahh, I did not know that. I honestly haven't watched many Nets games this yr. I'll have check 'em out and see what's going on.
