What a bad hire for this team. Mortgage three first rounders and your whole future until 2020, and experiment with J Kidd who's never coached in his life.

I thought it was a neat idea but certainly i knew it wasn't smart, and now it's just sad.

No. Better to ride out the year with him.

No. I would trade DWilliams first and foremost without hesitation.

Then look for anyone willing to take on Joe Johnsons contract (which wouldnt be easy and probably wouldnt happen).

Williams value is at an all time low.

Trading him now wouldn't get you any offers you'd like.

If I'm Billy King, I'm meeting with the coaching staff and empowering Lawrence Frank to take on more of a leadership role. Yes, it will undermine Kidd's respect in the locker room and probably bruise his ego but it is clear they need an experienced coach's voice to right the ship.

I would wait until midseason. Then reassess.

I am not too worried about the team's record at this point. They were always likely to have some really bad patches mixed with really strong patches over the course of this season. Just too old, slow and vulnerable to be consistently strong. This may just be one of those bad patches. Give Kidd time and see if he can change it around.

No to firing him... Nets condition right now is combination of rookie coach, injuries and fans expecting too much from a rookie coach and injurie prone veterans

I'd give him some more time but if it looks like he won't work out I would replace him without hesitation.  This team mortgaged the next several years to win this year so I would do whatever it takes to try to win this year.

Is Kidd really the problem?

There's a decent chance the players will start to turn on him before long.  That's when you have to reassess.  Lucky they have a competent coach already in Lawrence Frank.

Give Jason Kidd a break. Right now its not looking like tha hottest hire for tha Nets but give tha man a chance.

No one knew how Mark Jackson would do without prior coaching experience but look what he's done with tha Warriors.

Not true. How would the Nets better off with expiring deals and a single pick.

They'd still be capped out.

How is Jason Kidd responsible for their plethora of injuries?
