Dang, Miami projected for 67 wins??! They haven't even hit their stride, can't imagine what the projection will be once the defense picks up.

There's a couple overachieving teams right now like Philly and Boston.  They are worse than their records suggest.  And then there are a couple underachieving teams like Brooklyn and New York... i'd be shocked to see either finish under .500.

With time, stuff will settle down.

But at the moment we are 4-9.  If things continue at this pace, we'd win 25 games... which is actually on the high end of what most of us expected this season.

Once the Celtics lose the next two games against the Pacers and Hawks, they'll be 4-11 and on a 7 game losing streak.  At that point they'll be on pace for 21 wins, which sounds about right.

25 sounds about right, it is what i was predicting early on. or we could be as bad as 15 wins or get as many as 31 or 32 wins. 25 sounds about right though by all accounts.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

This has probably been mentioned, but it seems silly to "project" wins and losses without taking into account that our best player is due to come back for injury.

Basically, this projection is "if everything stays exactly as it is now".  That doesn't seem likely.

exactly, as I said on page 1 this isn't a prediction or even a projection of what will happen, it is merely an extrapolation of 15% of the season and assuming the remaining 85% is exactly the same for every single team.  It is silly to do that.  Teams like Boston have injured players returning.  Teams like Brooklyn have a lot of new pieces and a new coach.  Teams like Cleveland and Detroit are young with talent, but they haven't all learned the nuances of the game yet.  Etc.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

This is true, although as Moranis points out there are a number of other teams that will also get better, so Rondo returning might not make that much of a difference relative to the competition (especially if Rondo takes a while to get back to 100%).

I'd also expect that Rondo's return might coincide with a trade or two close to the deadline unloading Bass and/or Lee for minor assets.
