I think he's hard to compare. A 6'8" Power Forward. Thick body limited hops. Great BBIQ, Fundamentals terrific re-bounder, old school power forward with three point range.

The closest I have is David West, West is more athletic, Sully is more crafty. Who can you think of any era any player.

Charles Barkley. Charles was much more explosive, but they have two things in common, strong and skilled.

I think a close match is a poor man's Kevin Love.  Both have nice outside shots, both have post games that are limited yet fairly effective, both are good rebounders.

i wish he could develop into a karl malone or barkley but that would probably too much. i'd be happy if he can produce ala charles oakley in his prime.

I think he's gonna wind up with some similarities to Kevin love and al Jefferson. He finds ways to get buckets and boards like them but struggles to protect the rim.

Oak was more physical and imposing and far less skilled from what I remember. Hope Sully can continue his trajectory of improvement.

I think he could develop into a Zack Randolph type player with decent range from 3.

His style of play reminds me of Carlos Boozer, but he's not at that level of consistency, obviously.

Agree with this. I could see Sully as a Z-Bo with 3-point range. Not really a shotblocker, can't jump over a piece of paper, but some nifty moves and a really effective rebounder.

Good call.  Doesn't move as well as Booze right now, but has a nice game within 12 ft.  I suspect he'll be better than Booze all around, though, very soon, particularly on defense.

If we could get lucky enough to keep him around long term as 3rd big, we'd be pretty lucky.

He won't the 3rd big for very much longer. You could make a strong case he's the best player on the active roster.
