Although it's probably hard to separate the two, I'm not trying to gauge which option fans would prefer, but which they find more likely.

Thanks for voting.

Lottery for me. I don't wanna be mediocre and just making the 8th seed.

I think it's most likely that we miss the playoffs than either making it in or hitting the top four in the draft.

Edit:

I took out the in between option, because everyone will just vote for that one.  I really just want to gauge which of the above two options fans feel is most likely.

Thanks.

Right now some people are still riding the high of the 4 game win streak and have wild fantasies of this team actually shocking the world and competing.

Ask this question in a month when we've become more familiar with the superstars in this draft and the Celtics have started to settle in as either a subpar team or terrible team.  By then, I'm pretty sure most folks will rather see us bottom out and add a potential superstar.

Not trying to be critical, but there's 8 playoff spots in the East and only 4 teams across the league that could have the worst records.

If those are my options, the playoffs are more likely, but I don't think they're very likely.

Thanks for the constructive criticism, but I'm sticking with those two options for the purposes of my poll.

But, yes, personally, I see option A being more likely than option B myself.  I see it being very unlikely that we end up tanking hard enough to end up with one of the four worst records in the league by regular season's end.

I hold firm in my belief that the playoffs are a possibility.  Let's not forget that our best player will be returning at some point (I'm hoping sooner rather than later).

I will NEVER root for the Celtics to lose in any game ever, but if we want to return to winning days, we are either going to have to make a huge trade or grab one of the top draft picks. As seen in last nights college games, the cavalry is coming in 2014. I love Stevens/Adams' coaching, I love the young assets we have, but if we land Randle/Wiggins/Parker we become an instant contender. Any way we can 50 games and then have all of them for-fitted due to Crawford taking PEDs?  ;D

I voted option A too, because we're more likely to end up 8/15 is more likely than 4/30.

I vote playoffs.

It's a lot easier to make the playoffs then it is to outdo 60% of the NBA in a tankfest.

I know it's early, but take a look at the following (including teams most thought would be good this year.) Take out Miami, Indy and someone needs to tell these guys the season started two weeks ago.

Knicks 3-4
Nets 2-5
Cleveland 3-6
Bucks 2-5
Pistons 2-5
Orlando 4-5
Wizards 2-6
Denver 3-4
Lakers 4-6
Kings 2-5
Grizzlies 3-5
Pelicans 3-6

They can have them, we should be after Randle.

Looking at the east, I'm not sure that any teams are clearly worse than the rest. Ugh.

Lottery...unless you are happy with the 8th seed e every year and getting swept in the playoffs... I would expect fans would get tired of that very quick

But I expect us to be in the lottery this year.. This is a long season and in the NBA talent wins out... And we lack it
