Like any other potentially useful player, for the right price, provided it doesn't screw up other deals.

Right.

It really depends what other offers he gets in free agency and on his play for the rest of the season.

If he keeps playing the way he is some fool team will overpay him.  So probably not in that case.

But ignoring cost, yeah, he's doing well enough so far to want to keep him around.  If he can make plays like that as a backup to Rondo he'd be a huge asset.

I just hope everyone keeps thinking he is an idiot and can't play so we can sign him to a good deal.

And he maybe shows some loyalty.  Ainge really did give him respect from day 1 that the Wizards obviously didn't and the league hasn't either.

This is my hope too.  Now I'm no longer ashamed to say I liked him from day one. :D

I don't like his attitude, and I don't like that he's a minus defender on a team with a defensive mindset, but I'll take him for the right price. He is a useful player.

You can be Vice Prez of my Jordan Crawford Fan Club.

We're looking for more members (a club of one at the moment) but interest is booming.

Depends on how he responds on RR coming back.  Pleasant surprisee this year though.

That'll be the big shakeup in the guard rotation.

Pressey will be stuck to the bench/emergency reserve for sure, but will Crawford be restricted to 15 minutes behind Rondo, or eat into Bradley/Lee's minutes?

Yikes.

The top of the roster is still the first order of business, which is why the C's haven't extended anyone, incl. Bradley.  It's more about financial flexibility more than player value, as we just shouldn't tie up real money in role players (like Bradley and likely Crawford) as we have with Lee and Bass.

No. He'll show flashes of brilliance but for the most part our defense collapses when he's in. I rather the Celtics go for a good spot up shooter to compliment Rondo in the offseason anyways.
Our defense doesn't "collapse" when he's in. Mostly because we haven't had any defense to speak of this season.

Any defense to speak of?

I may be mistaken, but I believe the Celtics are a top-10 defensive team by the numbers.

As far as keeping Jordan, I say package him with Bass and hope you get something decent. I'm very weary of giving Jordan a long term deal. I think the guy just really wants that second contract.
I don't know which numbers you're talking about. The numbers I see tell me that our team is 19th in field goal defense, 27th in offensive rebounds allowed, and 23rd in opponent free throws attempted.

This is decidedly a below average defensive team. They are not going to win many games by shutting down the opposition.

He's probably talking about the entire season so far, as Crawford and Bass are both proving this entire board wrong in regards to their trade requests.

Nate played 17 MPG behind Ray and Rondo. I wouldn't be shocked if Crawford played about that many once Rondo comes back.

If he plays like this consistently, does he have any value to a good/contending team?

To me that's the big question. If so, he has value in a trade package and I'd move him. Now isn't the time to be signing role players IMO.

I'm not sure about the answer to my question though. Even at his current level, he seems like more of a "good player on a bad team" type.

No doubt you sign him.  Great backup PG option and Ainge stole him for nothing last year.  Why would we give up on a 25 year old whose playing this well ?

Obviously, you wait until the season ends and figure this all out.  Can Ainge, Stevens, tone down his attitude and body language ?  Those are his two biggest negatives for me.  He seems like a boob to play with if your his teammate and his body language is downright awful.  If you can get the young fella to work on that, than we're on to something.

Crawford definitely has been the biggest surprise so far, and a pleasant one. Even thoug he has been consistent you always watch him with the fear that he will suddenly get back to his old self (and he does on some wild 3's) but he really does make great passes.

I would re-sign him to the right price but I fear that he won't perform as well when Rondo gets back : his minutes will really be cut down and I think Crawford needs a bigger role (to feel like a big part of the team) to play well.
