Yes, I don't think that allowing sub-.300 3pt shooting is sustainable. Or important. First, because teams will shoot better, and second, because they'll figure out that they can have any easy shot in the book.
Being an above-average TO-forcing team probably is, but I can hardly see how this alone can make us an average defensive team by itself.
Yahoo doesn't have pace-adjusted stats. And again, the issues are so obvious that pace adjustment does next to nothing for the overall conclusion.
So maybe Crawford is some sort of a weak link in that defense, but to talk about "defensive disintegration" when he's on the court is a clear exaggeration. And again, my view is that we're not going to win a lot of games on defense, but we'll lose a lot of games when we're not able to run consistent offense.
