That was so funny when Tommy said that in the 4th quarter.

And that actually got me thinking.

I think it looks really bad on someone when the Celtics are on Comcast TV and the Sports Hub and the on-air crew on Comcast and Sports Hub publicly want to see the Celtics fail this year for a lottery pick.

They show why no hosts should try to cover everything unless they're really good.

I mean... I don't like their football opinions either (not a hockey guy) but they really just don't understand basketball at all.  I just listen and shake my head thinking that these dudes get paid to say this.

Yup. And just I think the perception is really bad overall. Here you are, the TV and radio provider of the Celtics and the most intelligent thing your on-air "experts" can come up with is: "uh..uh...great year for the Celts to tank. We want to see them lose. Now how about those Pats and Sox?"

Bill Simmons thought we were tanking too.  What does he know?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Exactly. Not to mention, I just don't like Bill Simmons. I think he's a dweeb.

Projection.  A lot of people (wrongly) think that tanking is a no-brainer, so they project that belief onto Ainge, because they think (correctly) that he is not an idiot.

I HATE FELGER AND MAZZ!!!!!!!

This pretty much sums it up for me, and that kind of spills over into every subject they delve into.

Oh, me, TOO ... with a PASSION!!

Tommy is so right ... I LOVE this stuff!

They are the two most self-important, know-it-all bags of air to EVER hit the Boston airways, and how they got that stupid Mike & Mike clone show is a complete mystery, (though, with some of the relationships going on in that place, I could guess pretty closely).

Can't stand those idiots ... truly.

Bill Simmons, interesting, is also on the record for not being the hugest fan of Felger.

Felger does not like the celtics, hasn't for years, and has said so openly ... don't get why ANYone would watch that moronic ego-fest they call a sports show.

I thought it was a fairly accurate comment.

I love Felger and Mazz.  They are not that good with B-Ball and are much better with the other sports but you guys make it sound like they are the only two guys on the planet who thought the C's would tank this season.  Or who think they should tank.

Ironicly Felger is using the fact that both of the channels he works for  now carry the Celtics so he has to start rooting for what's best for them instead of hating on them as he usually does because, as Triple H would say, it's best for business.

It's not even them talking about us tanking it's just that they seriously don't know anything about basketball.

Honestly I enjoy Felger and Mazz and listen to them almost every day, but they had extremely short sided limited views on basketball last year and for the most part would simply ignore The NBA in general.

The problem with this year is that they can no longer ignore the green since their station airs the games. I will say that the calls and emails they get from NBA feeds into their "Green Teamers" agenda. People need to step it up with better arguments.
