Well....seems like everybody ...except Marshon....is getting a taste of action....Wallace seems content for now.....winning helps smooth the road to team building.

HOW ABOUT THAT OFFENSE????????? WHEN did we get that regularly from doc rivers?????
How about every season? Or is being in the top 5 for field goal percentage not good enough for you? The Celtics did it five times over the last six years (last year they came in sixth).

Hey Kozlodoev , what do you think of Olynyk's defense now?? Is he still too slow for you?

Crawford looks like Earl the Pearl Monroe. So why not, why can't we be that lucky? DA was adding great talent and Doc wouldn't play it, and indeed Doc was "disturbed by the growing influence of Danny's son on Danny."

You mean that holding the Orlando Magic to just 46% shooting and 14 offensive rebounds is some sort of defensive achievement these days?

ha, ha...olynyk is going to be a good nba player. but his defense will never be stellar on a consistent basis. watch how he has to play way off his man so often. he simply doesnt have the lateral movement/speed to defend well.

kozy is on target here.

yet, olly can be a credible to average nba defender against many other forwards. and his team defense is fine.

great offense with credible defense? i will take that from olly.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

i disagree. You can't be a liability and not get killed on the floor.  Teams would pound on olynyk by doing ISO plays but you just can't. Where was Vucevic again tonight??

When he has to guard faster players, of course he has to play off of them a little. But he knows how to get by

He is also an excellent team/help defender. Usually on PnR , smaller guys are running into a brick wall

Again bottom line is, you can't be a liability and stay on the floor in the nba. Per Koz theory Olynyk should be getting killed night in and night out. In reality he is more than holding his own. He is not on his way to be a good defender. He already is

Vucevic had 15 pts, 10 rebs (4 offensive), and 4 assists (with 3 steals and 1 block, for good measure). What game did you watch exactly?

Dude had a "quiet" 15 and 10.

Kinda like them quiet Rondo 12+ assist games.

Is that the kind of production the magic need him to score for them to have a chance to win?

Olynyk was not only guarding him tonight but when he did , Vucevic not only had problems getting the ball down low, he couldn't even get into position properly

You can spin it whichever way you like, but bottom line is your prediciton about olynyks incapability as defender was wrong.

What the Magic need in order to win is to actually make a defensive stop or two. Or 20.

If you're insinuating that Olynyk prevented Vucevic from pulling some sort of Shaq impersonation, I can but laugh. Vucevic's production today was not much different from his season averages.

After a full paragraph of top quality spin you graciously allow me to spin it "whichever way I like"? How generous.

Not sure what you said.

It's ok, you don't have to admit anything.

Just enjoy the Sully and Olynyk upfront duo for years to come

Orlando had a good offensive game. Vucevic got a good offensive game. We did little defensively to slow them down or keep them off the offensive glass. Was that easier to understand?

I'm afraid I'll find it hard to enjoy a team that gives up 13 offensive rebounds per game and allows the opposition to shoot 46% from the floor. Hopefully that will improve when they find a real big man to start. One should be enough.

120 points? On 60 percent from the field? Are you kidding me? Is Brad Stevens a wizard or what? How does he have these guys playing this well? I'm seriously in shock.
