I'm not sure why we would want him at this point in our rebuild. I would rather give those minutes to Faverani, Sullinger, and Olynyk to develop and build their value. We would gain nothing from giving playing time and a roster spot to an old 3rd string backup center who would eat more time from the young guys. We already have Bass, Lee and Wallace eating enough playing time from the young players as is.

Sure, but we need to build value for our assets, which would not include Collins. Kendall Marshall would be ok however.

Faverani has any minutes that J.Collins could've gotten. Those minutes where Boston needs a big body to play low post defense. Only Faverani brings a lot more other things to the table beside post defense than Collins does.

So, no need for Collins. Faverani got that spot. Collins would be superfluous.
