This is widely regarded as the best incoming class EVER in college basketball. The starting five will look something like this.

 Andrew Harison
 Aaron Harrison Twin Brother Freshman
Alex Poythress Sophmore Man Child Freak
Julius Randle Probably the Number two pick. I love him.
 Wille Cauley Stein

Off the bench will be freshman James Young who could be a lottery pick, he reminds me of a more athletic Michael Redd. And the also have another seven footer 265 pound center Dakari Johnson who I would love to see on the Celtics. I like super teams but wow. Some of the nations very best players are coming off the bench. Hard to believe. Kentucky must have deep pockets! :) I know I'll be watching this year.

And here I thought the best college basketball programs were all about bringing in players who were going to make their names academically.

Are we really going to say we'll never see DeMarcus Cousins, Ph.D?

Kansas and Kentucky's practices must be insane.  You are looking at 7-10 lottery picks between those two teams?

It's really insane! How come the Tar-heels aren't getting more guys?

Best guess--because no one's better than Calipari at convincing prospective players that he'll give them the best shot at being a lottery pick.

Dude's nothing if not a great self-promoter.

Tarheels were in on Wiggins big time but lost out unfortunately.  I think Roy's sickness really played a part in their recruiting the last year.  Watch out for their class next year though.  Already signed 3 guys in the top 15.  Jackson, Pinson, and Berry.  They are in on Rashard Vaughn too....Heels are a year away from being a title contender...

And his record backs it up.  Lot of high picks and guaranteed contracts going to Kentucky guys lately.

Calipari pulls these recruits because unlike most elite college coaches he's embraced the one-and-done model, and actively promotes it when recruiting.  Plus Kentucky has the resources to handsomely pay reward its recruits with backpacks full of cash  anonymous pre-loaded debit cards high-end facilities and lodging with tremendous TV exposure and a rabid fan base.

Running with the broken, quasi-professional system that is high level DI ball is more attractive than pretending to adhere to stodgy old ideals while simultaneously doing the same kind of stuff under the table.

Right....if you are a top PG and you see Coach Cal got D Rose and John Wall the number 1 pick, wouldn't you at least take a look? I can't stand Cal but he is an unbelievable recruiter...best in the game right now.  How he got all those guys to go to Kentucky is beyond me...

Kansas team also very talented outside of Wiggins.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
