Yeah, he's a real scumbag from everything I've read on this.

There's simple rookie hazing then there is what happened here which totally crossed the line.

He's been a scumbag for a long time. Punched one of his best friends in a locker room all sorts of other incidents. Not to mention plenty of dirty play on the field from what I've seen/heard.

Very talented player and still has been cut loose so many times by so many teams.

I feel bad that Martin took a lot of "this happens all the time! Toughen up!" esque ridicule until the full extent of this came out.

I would have left the team before he did if I was him.  Unacceptable.

I would have gone the "fist city" route that Mike Ditka suggested.  Except I might have been more like "baseball bat city" and Incognito's groin would probably be involved.

Incognito, who has been a part of Miami's six-player leadership council, started all eight games for the Dolphins (4-4). He will be an unrestricted free agent after the season.

Just cost himself millions of dollars. What an absolute tool.

No place for that in the game, let alone society in general.

Well, I am certainly not the first person to suggest that Richie Incognito sounds like the ideal "Schiano Man".  Of course, Greg Schiano seems unlikely to be a head coach anywhere next season.

Well, I don't think it surprises anyone to find out that Incognito was born in New Jersey.

It's being reported that the guy won't be playing another game for the Dolphins, but the team will let the NFL process play out rather than just cut him.

The 'stand up to a bully' narrative some push online is idiotic. Many bullies will kill you before they let you ruin their reputation. There is a prevalent bully myth that standing up to them makes them back down. Nonsense. There is also the myth that bullies are cowards. Untrue.

Many feel that they have nothing to lose and will kill to protect their ego.

All of this may be true, but people that are not viewed as "weak" generally don't get bullied.  Bullies pick on the people the know likely won't stand up for themselves.

Not to say this makes it anyone but the bullies fault, but there is a sort of "logic" as to who a bully chooses to pick on.

I do think if everybody stood up to bullies all the time it would make a difference.  Bullies kill me? Not if I kill them first.

If this stuff is true what RI did isn't exactly "bullying"

Ritchies antics on the field, off the field, and in the locker room lumped in with his last name, just seems so hilarious you'd think it was made up.

In all seriousness though, he needs to look up his last name in the dictionary and tape it to his bathroom mirror and read it every day.  What an idiot.
