I know it seems like a bit of a ludicrous concept considering how he embarrassed the Cleveland organization and fan base on Live National TV, but LeBron knows that he can right his wrong (in his own mind, at least) by winning the City multiple rings. Could LeBron try to push his way out of Miami to Cleveland, who have a core with a much brighter future? Would Miami do it? "The Kings" next free agent decision is going to tell a lot about him- even more than his last one.

The core of Kyrie Irving, Andrew Bynum (IF he can stay healthy, looked like a monster out there against Brooklyn tonight!)  and LeBron makes my mind melt. That would cause havoc for every opposing team regardless of what other 12 players are on the roster. And if he wants to cement his legacy as one of the all time greats, LeBron needs a few more titles and going to Cleveland is clearly the better option than staying in Miami and hoping Wades knees hold up. Just a thought.

What if LeBron forced a trade to Cleveland. Miami could gauge some pretty good value out of Cleveland like Waiters, Karasev, Bennett. Varejao to make contracts work. draft picks probably?

Wouldn't make sense for Cleveland or LeBron to force a trade when his chances of winning this season are much better with the Heat than with the Cavs.  If he wants to go back to Cleveland, he can just sign in free agency over the summer.  Why would the Cavs want to surrender their valuable players and assets?  Even more so, why would LeBron want the Cavs to surrender their valuable players and assets?  That would just make it harder for him to win if he ended up returning.

Why are we talking trade?  LeBron is going to be a free agent and Miami just won a title... they are still the best team  ???

He can leave when he's a FA if he wants.  I think they do have a shot, did have a better one, but then hired Mike Brown.  I don't see how that works.

Maked no sense to force a trade. He can opt out and become a free agent after the season and they'll have enough cap room to sign him. If - and that's a big if - both sides are open to reuniting, no reason for Cleveland to give up assets to get him.

It really doesn't make any sense for him to go back... outside of the redemption narrative it'd fulfill for hoops fans and pundits.

Like Ella Winter said, you can't go home again.

I've been saying for awhile, I believe James will opt in this summer and then go to Cleveland in 2016 on a cheap contract (something way below max to help smooth things over) to finish out his career.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I didn't see the game.  Was this on the defensive end?  Offensively, his box score looks pretty bad (2 points on 1-for-5 shooting, although he did have two offensive rebounds.)

You can't just do that.  The union doesn't allow it because you devalue the entire market if you're the best player.

Not saying it couldn't be a bit of a discount.  But he's going to be about at the max.

It still doesn't make sense. Even in "Made-for-TV" movie mode.

Does Cleveland have the cap space this summer to sign him? If not, I don't think they have large enough expiring contracts to offer Miami in a sign and trade

I just dont see him being re-accepted in Ohio. However, they would be pretty good on paper if all were healthy and a lineup of

Irving/Jack
Waiters/Miles
James/Clark/Gee
Varejo/Bennett
Bynum/Zellar

I don't know.  Fans can be pretty forgiving.  For instance, a lot of Red Sox fans were clamoring for the Red Sox to re-acquire Roger Clemens at one point.  I think most Cavaliers fans would be thrilled to have Lebron back.
