Oh, yeah, absolutely.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

The Lakers can't really offer him anything he doesn't already have;

hmm, music, movies, I think they can, open new markets to him not available in CLE and MIA.  It helped Shaq.   Let's not be naive here.

Exactly - let's not be naive here.  This is a guy who's been labeled the heir to MJ's throne since he was in high school.  He is unequivocally considered the best player in the league.  He's without a doubt a future Hall of Famer.  He's the cover boy for NBA 2K14.  He already had a documentary before he even won his first championship with an accompanying soundtrack featuring Kanye West, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Eminem.  He's got his own shoe brand.  He's got the best-selling jersey in the world.  He was the focus of all free agency discussions three years ago and will pick up where he left off this summer.  He held a television special on national TV just to announce he was leaving his former team.

He is not opening any new markets in LA; he's already opened every single market he could dream of.  LeBron and Kobe are the most recognizable active basketball players in the world.  There is literally nothing else the Lakers can offer the guy that he hasn't experienced as far as branding and marketing.

Come on, now.  This isn't some small-time star who's been toiling away in Milwaukee; this is LeBron James.  Let's be real here.

Yep Endless is right.  Lakers would just dilute his legacy.
