The got rid of Vinnie Del Negro.

They added outside shooting.

That fixes their biggest two weaknesses.

I expect them to be top 4 seed in the West.

Who really cares what they do in the regular season??  It is what they do in the playoffs that matter, right??  Blake is a CHOKE artist in the playoffs!!  I predict that will continue.  Jordan will have an impressive dunk or two per playoff game, but simply CANNOT be on the floor in crunch time due to his HORRIFIC FT shooting.  That means there will likely not be a good rim protector in the game in the last 6 minutes (when MOST playoff games are decided)!!!  JJ Redick is over hyped and is a TERRIBLE defender!!!  Dudley is a very good defender however, so that will help!!  Doc simply is NOT much, IF ANY, better of a coach than Vinny. I will be STUNNED if they make it to the Western Conference Finals.  STUNNED.  Better chance of a first round exit than getting to the WC Finals IMHO!!

1)  How is Blake a choke artist?  Last year, he had a bad playoff (was hurt).  The year before, (healthy) 19 and 7 and the Clippers beat the Grizzlies in the first round.

2)  Redick is a good team defender and fits what Doc does.

3)  How can anyone compare Del Negro with any NBA coach that has had success?  Doc is a huge upgrade.  (and that's coming from me with my long standing sig)

Then, why not just see IF I am correct.  Can you do that??  I wouldn't be shocked if the Clips have about the same regular season record as last year despite this HUGE alleged UPGRADE in the head coach position.

Del Negro is a terrible coach.  I don't care if you don't think as much of Doc as some others do.  Del Negro is terrible.

Over a 53% winning percentage and 4 of his 5 seasons at .500 or better.

Doc coached three Hall of Famers in Boston for six seasons and he ONLY has about a 2% higher winning percentage!!!

Do you remember last year, game 6 vs Memphis when Del Negro played Jamal Crawford, the third best player on the team, only 12 minutes and not in the second half at all and when asked why he did this had no justification?  Not even an answer?  He said "that's how the game went".... YOU ARE MAKING THE SUBS!  Or how he played Billups, who was awful and still injured, over Bledsoe in that series too? Billups whose main asset as an aging player was supposed to be shooting, and shot 30% from the floor. ;D

Did you ever actually watch the Clippers?  Who never ran a play ever with him as their coach?

‘Yeah, Chris Paul,’ Del Negro said, referring to his All-Star point guard. ‘All these names and all that stuff – you just put the ball in the best player’s hands. I’m sure the ball is going to be in LeBron’s hands.

Right this guy is really good.

He had talent, and they won in the regular season (woohooo talent almost always does) and then crashed and burned in the playoffs.

VDN forgot to sub Chris Paul back in during the playoff series against Memphis.

Clippers players from last year have admitted that they didn't have a consistent system for defending the pick and roll. You know, the most effective and most common offensive action in the game.

Clips are getting rolled by the Lakers right now, though.

Doc sucks so unbelievably bad and tonight was more evidence. The sad part of the Celts season won't be the Clips doing so well but I am a little worried about the Nets playing like we hoped the Celts would play the last few years of KG's time here.

Doc out coached in a 4th q by D'Antoni. Big shock

0-1 clippers lose to the Kobeless Lakers.  On the first night of the clippers
Taking over the staples center they fall on their faces.   Getting real bad vibes from
Day one.

Once they embrace defense and show they could really perform this consistently as the season progresses, I could see post season success on them. Remains to be seen, though.

Are you talking about the GAME when their THIRD BEST player shot 0-5???  And Matt Barnes went off for 30 and 10???  Oh that game.  I can CERTAINLY understand WHY Vinny made that call.  Billups has always been Mr. Clutch come playoff time and Bledsoe has proven NOTHING in the playoffs and really NOTHING in the regular season!!!  Bledsoe was 0-1 in the game you referenced in 9 minutes!!

Billups was 30 percent in the series.  You are reaching hard to defend a bad coach.

Bledsoe has done nothing in the regular season or playoffs?  Why did he just get paid then?

These Doc posts are embarrassing to read.  They're like posts made by spurned lovers.

I think the Clips again will be a very overrated team but will have some super sweet dunls on sports center.

Seriously tho blake griffin is one of the most overrated players in the game. I'd take 38 year old KG over him any day of the week.

Chris paul has good stats tho, so there's that

Doc Rivers is a bust .

People out in LA or Clipper land think he is the end all coach after Jackson.   .....but just like Jackson he is no miracle coach ...just a good baby sitter and average at best coach .

Clippers fortunes totally ride on if CP3 is in the game .

He is kinda fragile ....... Like Nash .....he'll get hurt more, and more often as the years go by.

On paper the Clips look awesome, as did the Celtics last year, but the reality is something different.
