Are we gonna see Kelly Olynyk and Jared Sullinger both in the Rookie Sophomore game?

I hope so! That would be nice to watch, 2 young Celtics with bright futures.

Last year: LeBron James -- 73.3%

FYI, this poll has a 13.3% margin of error.

Any way to get a link?

I'd really like to see who the other choices were.

http://www.nba.com/news/2013-14-nba-gm-survey/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt13a

Which rookie was the biggest steal at where he was selected in the Draft?

1. Kelly Olynyk (13), Boston -- 27.6%

2. Ben McLemore (7), Sacramento; Nerlens Noel (6), Philadelphia -- 13.8%

4. Steven Adams (12), Oklahoma City; Giannis Antetokounmpo (15), Milwaukee; Trey Burke (9), Utah -- 6.9%

Olynyk also came in #5 for "best rookie in 5 years", though that appears to just require 2 out of 29 votes (can't vote for own players).

TP. While the draft was unfolding I would've probably said McLemore or Noel, but that was more due to the relatively unexpected slide.

Maybe they're basing the "steal" on the fact that he was had for the 17th pick and a pair of future 2nd rounders?

Kelly was also ranked pretty highly by his fellow rookies:

Who will be the 2013-14 Rookie of the Year?

T-1st: C.J. McCollum, Portland & Victor Oladipo, Orlando -- 24.2 percent
3: Kelly Olynyk, Boston -- 18.2 percent

4. Derek Fisher, Oklahoma City; Steve Nash, L.A. Lakers -- 7.1%

Ok seriously, there is one joker GM in there who is having some fun. I theorize that the person who voted Deandre Jordan best future coach is the same person who voted-

Roy Hibbert, the biggest dude in the NBA playing regular minutes, for "makes the most of limited natural ability,"

Chris Paul, one of the biggest floppers in the NBA, for "toughest,"

Dion Waiters, a black hole in his first NBA season, for "best passer"

I can't comment on Jordan - he doesn't seem to have a great BBIQ, but there's a stereotype about big guys not being knowledgeable, and it's possible he really does have a good mind to coach someday.

Hibbert really is pretty unathletic but it's a bit silly when you're 7'2" and long-armed.  Paul is genuinely a tough player though; it's not incompatible with being a flopper - Fisher is also tough and probably a worse flopper than Paul.

But whoever picked Waiters as a great passer has got to be pulling somebody's leg.

Really, I think maybe on you believe it.  Jabbar, Russell, Bird and I can name a lot more of smart bigs than any other position than PG.

When did I say I agreed with it?  I was actually arguing against it.

Yeah, it's hard to view the GM poll as a truly accurate and reliable reflection of GM opinion because of votes like those.

Or maybe there really are some dumb / lazy / apathetic GMs out there.

A lot of GMs like KO now because they didn't realize he had range with his shot. The biggest worry was him going against guys like Hibbert and Gasol and getting knocked around, which he doesn't do if he's a stretch 4 as the Celts are using him.

Sadly, that might be the highlight of the Celtics season this year.

A bit more to the point that my last post:

I'm glad Olynyk is a steal. I hope he pans out. I'm not convinced he needs to pan out for the Cs.

I want the Cs to become contenders again, and ASAP. If that involves trading Olynyk, or anyone else, so be it. The fact that people are high on Olynyk is a good thing, because it means his trade value is also likely high.

I think Center/PF is no different than any other position outside of the point (which really does require a pretty decent IQ and memory recall if the questions/pre-draft interviews are any indication, as well as what we see on the floor). There are smart guys, there are dumb guys, there are average guys. The 'smart guys' get lauded for it, the dumb guys either get coached into a role that doesn't ask more of them than they can commit, or they get exposed. There are plenty of very intelligent 2s and 3s out there, both in the past and present. Wade, Bryant, Durant, Lebron, Iggy..these guys are smart. I swear.

Garnett, Sheed, both Gasols, even a guy like JaVale McGee I guarantee is a goodly amount more intelligent than he's given credit for (or shows on the court).

Although intelligence and good decision making are not always linked.

like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

I know you're not arguing this point but I don't know why this stereotype exists. Tim Duncan, Russell, McHale KG etc are all smart high bball IQ guys
