In other news, Paul Pierce hopes to eventually succeed Danny Ainge as Celtics' GM, and is not interested in pointlessly burning bridges.
I want to see Pierce rejoin the organization in some way.
me too, but I don't get the burning bridges part. Danny is an awesome GM. Maybe Pierce will come back at a coach?
I'm saying that there is no upside to bad-mouthing the Cs current talent level, especially for a guy like Pierce who has stated he wants to come back to the Cs some day, so while it was a nice thing to say I'm not really gonna take it seriously.
So are you saying it's not true ? He doesn't believe what he is saying ?
I think he's spot on. We have a lot of nice pieces here already that will be here for the long run.
He mentions Olynyk, Sullinger, Bradley, Green, Lee, Rondo, & Bass. I'd take it a step further and include Crawford & Faverani, as both players are still under 25 years of age and can still develop their games.
