I did not know Dickerson had tourettes??!! and "see ya" Tanguay & Marshall!

With Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in Brooklyn, Doc Rivers coaching the Clippers, and Rajon Rondo rehabbing a knee injury, the Celtics will have a new look this season.

Turns out so will the network that broadcasts their games.

Greg Dickerson, Donny Marshall, and Gary Tanguay won't be part of the network's Celtics coverage this season, while president of basketball operations Danny Ainge and Chris Herren are slated to fill in as color analysts on a couple of occasions.

Glad to hear Dickerson, Tanguay, and Donny Marshall are gone, but I wonder who's going to replace them? Does this mean more Scal?

Scal's coaching. Ainge & Chris Herren on the road with Gorman? Hmmmm, Herren's really rehabbed his rep (no pun intended). When I saw the headline I hoped maybe T'wan was going to be involved given how well he did in that recent lengthy interview.

No Scal??? Oh man, that's disappointing! It'll be interesting to hear from Ainge and Herren a bit, but I will miss Scal.

I agree about Twan, he would have been great to have on, too bad.

Still don't understand why the let Marshall in there in the first place.  I figured he must have had the goods on someone.

I'll miss Tanguay and his 'gut' predictions. ;)

Though I've never been a huge fan of his I will actually miss Dickerson in his sideline role.  He was good at it because he knew basketball and understood what he was there for.  Guess they needed to work a woman onto the broadcast in some way shape or form.  The vast majority of sideline reporters suck so I hope this move doesn't take them down that road.

I liked Dickerson.  He had a great personality.  Draper seems like a dweeb.

Glad Tanguay and Marshall are out.  Too bad Scal isn't available.  I thought he was awesome last year.

Donnie Marshall being gone doesn't really surprise me.

Though obviously I have no knowledge of this, sometimes Marshall wasn't afraid to "speak his mind" without the green-colored glasses.

Case in point, I remember vividly the tussle with Brooklyn last year (ironically now our teammates) and Marshall was VERY critical of the way Rondo handled himself in that melee.

Can't help but wonder if it's reasons like that why his contract wasn't picked up.

Also, to a much lesser extent, I think the same can be said for Tanguay and Dickerson. Though both guys have always been pro Celtics, they're also not always afraid to tell things the way they see them.

Make a long story short, my theory here it's quite possible the Celtics are going to be absolutely horrendous this year and if so, they don't want any "objectivity" behind the mic.

Lol. And in other news, the Celtics janitorial staff is making wholesale changes in hopes of drafting the next legendary mopper.

So you're saying they want a bunch of Tommy clones? I love him, he is much like me, will say things are great or think a player is 10 times better than they are lol! Like if Vitor ends up being bad Tommy would say something like "I can tell you this, he's a bruiser! Let'em play!"
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Yeah, sort of. Which really isn't unlike what any other team would do, I suppose.
