I HATED Gary Tanguay! So glad he's gone

I liked Dickerson.  He had a great personality.  Draper seems like a dweeb.

Glad Tanguay and Marshall are out.  Too bad Scal isn't available.  I thought he was awesome last year.

Pretty much this. I enjoyed Dickerson and didnt like Draper (who for some reason reminds me of an African American Peter Griffen). Thank god Donny is gone and really upset Scal's gone (even though Im happy he got the coaching gig). He was getting really good towards the end of the season and had some good chemistry with Gorman.

Scal was SO GOOD, I was hoping he'd inherit Tommy's spot some day. Maybe he will still, who knows. Scal + Gorman was the best, but Scal/Gorman/Tommy was also great.

Bye Donny and Tanguay, you won't be missed. Indifferent about Draper. Sorta sad about Dickerson. Can't wait to hear Ainge.

Knew Scal was coaching so that's not a surprise at all.

Though Tanguay was not the most knowledgeable, I liked him nonetheless, being such a homer and from Maine.

Marshall is into Marshall, as always, so I could care less about his absence, and he has nothing left to talk about since Ray's departure and the end to the whole "My old team-mate and best buddy, Ray" crap.

Always liked Greg, but knew what he was going through and expected a drastic limiting of his time on camera due to the seizures.

Draper's OK, but I'm ambivolent there ... love Abby Chin - she's smart, knowledgeable, and very easy on the eyes.

As long as Tommy and Mike are still the core, I can deal with the rest, although Ainge, Herren, Cowens, Welsh and Mannix will be an interesting/odd mix.

I didn't realize anything was up with Dickerson, and upon googling I'm really inspired by his efforts in retrospect.

Hopefully it was a mutual decision regarding all three of them. They'll be missed. At least, I'll miss them--thinking about it now, I rather enjoy broadcaster continuity.

And it's 100,000,000,000% not happening but Bill Walton would be rad. I could listen to him talk about anything.

Though I've never been a huge fan of his I will actually miss Dickerson in his sideline role.  He was good at it because he knew basketball and understood what he was there for.  Guess they needed to work a woman onto the broadcast in some way shape or form.  The vast majority of sideline reporters suck so I hope this move doesn't take them down that road.

Liked Dickerson, hated Tanguay and Marshall. Chris Herren? Really?

There are so many former player Cs personalities out there, and burgeoning bloggers/journalists to fill the roles of analyst or color commentator...guess we'll wait n see on Herren. I'm not a Mass native or anything so his mythos has zero draw for me.

I just wish there was a way for CSN to steal Max and Grande, they are very good.  As broadcast personalities I'd rank them in the following order; Gorman, Max, Grande, Tommy.

Have Gorman still be the main announcer, with Max filling in as color on the road for Tommy.  Give Grande a cushy studio gig.

I'm on board with this. And we'd call him "Snarkmaster Grande".

Wow. You'll miss Donny Marshall AND would love to hear Bill Walton talk all day?

I don't think we could be further away from agreement on this one.

Dumbest Bill Walton moment. I forget what year it was but it was one of the 2000 or 2001 Lakers championship runs and during a game where the Lakers were loosing and couldnt get back on track Walton says..."My real question here is....What did Brian Shaw do wrong?" As if the 36 year old 12 minutes per game 12th man was going to completely turn the Lakers around. What a moron.

Oh man, I'm not talking about his commentary, specifically, I just get a kick out of Bill Walton fondly recalling things. He's got a great voice(/tenor/pitch/phrasing) for nostalgia.

Donny was annoying, but he was our annoying telecaster.

This sounds like it is largely the plan with Max.  He will basically be getting an audition to be Tommy's replacement longterm.  And I have a feeling that CSN would be thrilled to have Grande take over for Gorman, whenever he hangs them up.

Though obviously I have no knowledge of this, sometimes Marshall wasn't afraid to "speak his mind" without the green-colored glasses.
The problem is not that he spoke his mind, it's that he didn't make much sense.

I thought Grande and Max were still going to do the radio at the Sports Hub.

Donny was annoying, but he was our annoying telecaster.

I never felt, for one second, that Donny Marshall was our anything, I despised him from the jump, and am thrilled that he's gone.  They could replace him with Stojko Vrankovic and I'll be happy.

I find it very interesting that they'd give Chris Herren a chance, and hope he does well.  Scal had a bright future in broadcasting, but I have a feeling he's going to be a head coach in a few years, and the money's a lot bigger for a HC than a regional broadcaster.

I would love to see Antoine Walker in the studio.  he's articulate, and  his basketball knowledge and league knowledge is off the charts.  Plus, he knows a lot about what a young team  has to go through, and he could impart that perspective on a fan base that now has a lot of young people on it that are used to a top of the league team.
