Do you like him as a player or dislike him?

why do you ask?

that is, thanks for starting a thread, but perhaps you could articulate a bit fuller what the point of the thread would be? that would be helpful to the rest of us.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Just want to know what other Celtics fans think about Kobe since he plays for the Lakers and him and LeBron are the most popular players around the world.

you have to respect him as a player. On the basketball court he is a cold-blooded assassin.

I respect the fact that he's what I'd call "Old School." In that he will play hurt when others from this time would sit it out and cry like girls. He's easy to put in the top 10 greatest players of all time.

Now that's the ONLY thing nice I will say about him.

While I would still consider him an all-time great, I think his clutchness is severely overrated. I'm pretty sure 82games.com had him as a mediocre player in crunch-time. He just takes so many shots in that situation that even if he makes 1-4 (which isn't far off from his actual percentage iirc), people remember the 1 more than the 3.

Around here, I often saw many criticizing Paul for "hero ball," so we clearly focuses on the 3. But the truth is Paul has been a much better clutch shooter and for a time had the most clutch assists in the league, with fewer turnovers than many fans would think.

There are quite a few players I would take with a last possession and needing a bucket over Kobe. I wouldn't exactly call him a chucker, but he's no sniper.

As for OP, there is nothing about Kobe I like.

I have a very strong distaste for Bryant
But he is talented. Ridiculously so.
Other than that I hate the man  >:(
He is also very overrated IMO
Playing with Shaq he won heaps of games and some championships, but I do not think he is that close to being MJ's equal

Haha!

My parents cat is named Cobi too.  Of course it was at my sister's behest, as a huge Cobi Jones fan.  Sadly most people just assume it's 'Kobe'.

Yes, this is a very old cat, I think he might be 16 now.  We got him when I was in HS.

You forgot to ad another zero there.

But Kobe's certainly a tremendous basketball player.

I like him as a player, his heart, his skills are very very good. Great shooter, ok defense, but the guy is a winner. Loves the game and refuses to lose. Great person, loves his fans

However, I always view him as the enemy mainly cuz he's on the Lakers. I also agree at the part that he is nowhere near MJ's level. First two championships he was riding off Shaq's team. Debatable for his 3rd championship. You can also argue those championships were against weaker East teams. Same with his 4th championship vs the Magics. The Magic's were easily outmatched and outgunned.

He's a dangerous man. That's all I gotta say.

But I dislike him.
