I hope he gets into the Hall of Fame. With his scoring title, career numbers and all-nba selections, I'm pretty sure he will. He was a truly great player for many seasons. I have to admit, for no good reason, I wasn't that big of a fan, even though I respected his ability. As such, I sort of reveled in his postseason failures even though he was usually magnificent in the postseason. I feel guilty about that now. It's just not right that T-Mac retires as sort of a laughingstock, as someone who couldn't win when it "mattered." T-Mac was one of the unluckiest stars of his generation. A player like Kobe got to play with great players for most of his career. T-Mac played mostly with role players and had two great running mates go down with foot or ankle problems.
