  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Hawks (I'm the Hawks, right?) select:

Paul Pierce

Championship experience and old man strength all around.

I like it.  Wade and Pierce on the wing is pretty formidable, though not as formidable as it would've been 5 years ago.

Can't believe a couple of guys are still on the table.

You should've voted last year.

No one "stops" LeBron. The 2007-2008 Celtics couldn't stop LeBron with the best defense I've seen an NBA team play without resorting to actual felony level violence.

Having a top flight interior defender who can rotate correctly and keep LeBron from absolutely slicing you up is the name of the game. That gives you a chance to beat them.

From what I've learned here, to win you don't gear on stopping LBJ, you make sure that everyone else that you got stops or outplays his.

You can attempt to limit his effectiveness by clogging up the paint with competent help defense. Solid interior defense helps that.  Keep him outside.

You give him free lanes and its game over.

The Sixers select DeMarcus Cousins who is finally going to "get it" this year (which might have to do with him being up for an extension).
Best talent left on the board, have fun!
Thanks Faf, TP for being the only person to comment on my pick.

Quickly talking myself into the Bosh/Smith combo.
Excellent pairing. Complement one another very well.

They'll be very difficult for most teams to matchup against. So much quickness. Nowhere for a slow footed big man to hide.

I agree with Faf.  I was pretty disappointed when the Mod Squad decided to trade down, rather than drafting Boogie.

I can't remember a single pick and roll Big Al has done in his career, that's not a good thing.

I'd just like to point out that outside of shot-blocking, Ibaka is a sorry defender.

Ugh.

Thanks for being the only person besides myself to comment on I.P's pick. TP.
