I think all of this hate on Rose has gotten a little overblown here. I think he correctly believed that even if he did come back for the playoffs, the Bulls weren't getting past Miami, not when Miami was clicking, LeBron was playing GOAT level, and Rose would have been rusty.

Rose got his flak for taking a year off. Let's see what he can do this year, and not hold grudges.

Edit 1: I picked the DKC Bulls for this reason; I didn't come to this reasoning because I had the Bulls.
Edit 2: Is KGK on the clock now or is he not allowed to pick until 1:30?

That's the thing though this is the CB Draft not the DKC League we are basing things off of last year. Also wasn't Rose cleared in March?

How do you shut off the thing that prevents you from posting if somebody else did?

I got burned by that in the Pick2 draft and be [dang]ed if it happens again!

Is that taking into account that he needs to feel 110% to play even if his team is in the playoffs?  He won't play if he is 100%.

Is your assessment taking into account he is merely 23 years old and does not want to ruin his career before even entering his prime?

Ya, because this is a one year excercise.  I don't care about the rest of his career in the format, I care about his desire to get on the court and compete.  Adrian Peterson almost set the NFL record for rushing yards playing for a mediocre team coming off a torn ACL with a shorter recovery time and Rose can't play in the playoffs?
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Uhh I hate the AP comparison. The guy is the exception, not anything I'd base most recoveries off of.

I understand your point about judging him in the CB draft format but as an overall opinion, I really don't get all the hate for Rose.

Mods pick Kyrie Irving.

Was wondering how far down the rabbit hole he would drop.

Regarding the AP/Rose comparison: I remember seeing some special that talked about their injuries. AP's movement is largely forward, which doesn't put much strain on his ACL. Rose, as a slasher, has to rapidly change directions, putting extreme strain on his ACL.

So, in short: apples to oranges.

Mods pick Kyrie Irving.

Spectacular offensive player, but spotty defense and extensive injury history is going to make building around him very difficult. I'll be interested in seeing how the mods take on this challenge, but #13 seems a bit on the high side.

Running backs make tons of lateral cuts every single game.

Probably shouldn't have posted rigth before going into a dentist appt.

Anyway, my plan to get Curry failed so now I'm trying to move back (possibly out of) from the 1st round.

Looking for early - mid 2nds
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

- Me (sometime in January)

Guess I was wrong (May 23rd)

Remember something guys, a healthy Lebron James couldn't win in the CB Draft until he won in real life because of the perception he couldn't win the big one.

Rose was out a whole year.

Assuming people will just forget he was injured a whole year and forgive that he could have returned earlier but didn't, probably isn't the most realistic thing to assume in this game.

As Yoki alluded to earlier, you select injured players at your own risk and will have to do a lot of PR to get injured players over in this game. It has been done before so its not impossible, its just not as easy as pushing a team filled with players who were healthy and playing last year(or even guys that weren't healthy but still played through).
