KO = upper middle class Byron Mullens

Fab Melo = lower middle class Acie Earl

Rondo = Derrick Rose

Avery Bradley = Dennis Rodman in a guard's body....maybe Bruce Bowen

Sully = lower middle class Kenneth Farried when healthy

Jeff Green = Rich Man's Ron Artest

You lost me after Byron Mullens. Then you skipped town after Acie Earl. Then you dug a spider hole on Dennis Rodman, legally changed your name and gender on Kenneth Faried, and pulled your teeth and filed off your own fingertips on Artest. Now the NSA couldn't find you again, much less me.
Ok. Byron Mullens is a tall athletic young outside shooter who doesn't rebound lots or play defense. Acie Earl couldn't do anything other than block shots. Avery Bradley is the second best defender I've ever seen after Rodman. Sully can rebound and so can Farried.  Ron Artest is a better defender than Green so I may have missed on that. I think the issue there is I don't think Ron Artest is or was that great a player and I think people are overrating Green too

Dude, Ron Artest was one of the greatest rebounders of all time, an off-ball player, and a poor shooter. Green is one of the worst rebounding forwards in the NBA, a ball handler, and relies on his above-average outside shooting. Playing good defense is, like, the only thing that they kind of have in common.

But more to the point- Faried is all effort and athleticism whereas Sullinger is all skill and finesse. Rondo is a pass-first point guard renowned for his defense and rebounding whereas Rose is a volume scorer who hasn't shown anything defensively. Bradley is a tiny, pest defender whose whole game is quickness whereas Bowen was a long-armed, physical wing.

The Byron Mullens comp is probably a solid one, though.

I've been saying, Olynyk is a Bargnani-lite.

If not for rule 3, I would have said Olynyk is Bargnani with a better attitude but less talent.

Maybe I thought of Rose because they are both similarly hard to stop and they're similar sized, and both can get to the hoop, and both had the same injury, and both make their team go, and both teams took similar dips when they were lost. Also I think they both go to waffle houses

If not for rule 3, I think I would say Jeff Green is Caron Butler with better defense.

A lot of diversity on the way folks look at Jeff Green, but this is nothing new =)

Love these threads. Gets my creative juices flowing. Anyway Rondo = angry man`s John Stockton, Bradley = poor man`s Gary Payton, Jeff Green = a nice Shawn Kemp, and so on
