Yeah, agreed, would like to see him here. I hadn't seen much of him but after watching him in the summer league I liked him quite a bit.
Big screens, very physical, aggressive at all times and he just seems tough, tough, tough. Again, I was quite amused over the course of the summer league at how many times different players would kind of bounce off the guy and hit the floor. He looked like a brick wall when guys hammered into him.
I think he has the physical tools and the mindset to bang with almost anyone in the league right now. His talent level is marginal but I think he could be a good "Reggie Evans Type" player in time, just doing it for us at the center position. Love those types of guys as "part" of the mix.
I'm not super high on Fab, but still do hold out some hope - he's made some small improvements and he is a true seven footer.
I'm hoping the Celts are just stashing Iverson in Turkey so they can give Fab a lot of burn this year in hopes that he develops enough to get value out of him in a trade package for a legit, long term solution for us at center or he simply develops enough that he's worth keeping.
I think they already know what they have in Iverson.
I got really sick of watching us get pushed around once Perkins left and Rondo had to become our enforcer. I like being the team pushing people around and with Iverson, Sully, Bradley and Rondo, we've got a nice little core of tough guys at their positions.
