I don't see why the media would completely fabricate stories. I believe he had an ongoing rift with Ray. I believe there were problems with Doc (perhaps why he wasn't willing to stick around with KG/PP leaving?). And I believe he orchestrated the clash between younger players and the vets.
You can choose to not believe any of them. I believe where there is smoke there is fire. He is temperamental on the court and no reason to believe he can be even moreso off it.
Ray did whatever he could to burn down basically any relationship he had in Boston when he left. Not just Rondo, but KG, Pierce, Doc, management - everyone. I hardly think that's a testament of Rondo being destructive.
As for Doc, they've had differences, but at least they're men who can work things out. Meanwhile, you have elite PGs like Chris Paul and Deron Williams who not only get into disagreements with their coaches, but even get them fired. Yeah, so Rondo's totally a bad guy, right?
I'm not even sure what you mean by the "clash between younger players and the vets". Rondo got the entire team together last offseason to get ready for the season early, the veterans all loved him, and the young players all looked up to him. He and KG basically had a brotherly relationship, he had the respect of Pierce and Terry, he was a big factor (if not the biggest) in Bradley's bounceback from his underwhelming season, and was/is a big presence of the recoveries of Green and Sullinger.
There's a reason why guys like Carmelo and Lebron would love to be his teammate. There's a reason why Rondo has earned the respect of Kobe and Kidd, two guys who don't exactly dish out praise left and right. Sure, Rondo might have issues with officials, but there is no better teammate you could ask for.
Also, a big LOL at the bolded statement. This is the media we're talking about. They always make a big deal out of the littlest things.
