Sullinger. Easy choice. Best rebounder in the lineup, will pin or man handle his man, high iq and motor. Proved himself as a starter imo
I dont get how hump gets the nod over sully. Both are 6'9 , sully has actually a longer wingspan, higher iq, skills, better rebounder. Hump is a little quicker and jumps higher but thats it
I agree, a lot of similarities, these differences are minuscule, but KH is 1/2" taller w/o shoes, and he's got an inch higher standing reach.
My hope is that JS and KO are the starting combo, Humphries and Bass the second team--if they really can't get rid of Bass, especially.
Yup. And sully has 7'2 wingspan and hump has 7'0. Ppl think sully is like 6'7 and hump is 6'10. Its not true
Sully looks short but is def 6'9 per pre draft measurements.
I don't know that anyone actually thinks that, but the NBA habit of measuring with shoes on is bogus anyway--w/o shoes is what's legit.
Sully measured 6'9" with shoes and hump measured 6'10" with shoes.
Hump is also better conditioned and more athletic so may be better equipped to handle playing big a starter minutes.
I don't get how anyone can say Sully is a better rebound....hump has been one of the top rebounded in the NBA ever since he came in to the league.
Finally hump is a reasonably capable shot bblocker, while Sully is not.
I think Sully's lack of shot blocking a ability combinedwwith his solid inside/outside game makes him better suited to the PF spot because he can step out to the point range and stretch the offense.
We all saw how bad we were last season with either Sully or Bass at center...with no shot bblocker out the we got killed inside, giving up layups at will. I would rather start even Melo at center before I'd se either bass or sully man that position again.
