I didn't know being a fan of a particular team precluded you from having an interest and watching other teams?
That said, I will probably watch a good number of games especially the big ones on national tv. Can't wait to see them play the heat. Opening night maybe?
Well to be clear. I watch the Celtics as my team. I watch other NBA basketball if so inclined and if the game interests me or if there is nothing else on(like a Bruins game or college basketball game, because I do love watching college basketball).
But I think the OP was implicitly asking whether people would change their NBA viewing habits to go out of their way to watch the Nets because KG and Pierce are there.
And my answer to that is no. I won't watch the Nets any more or less than I ever have which means, I will watch them when they play the Celtics and if they are on television and I am not watching something that would hold my attention more. But I am not going to go out of my way to watch Nets basketball simply because they have two former Celtics playing for them.
That's how I interpreted the OP as well, Nick, and to each his own.
I'm still far from over seeing KG and Paul traded, and at this point, I just don't feel like seeing them in any jersey other than a Celtic's jersey.
Call me rigid or immutable or whatever, I'm just not in that spot yet.
I assume it will one day not affect me in the same way, but for now I make no apologies for my reluctance to see my two heroes playing for the Brooklyn Nets.
As I said, to each his own, though time heals all wounds ... I'm told.
