Same guys who said Doc saw it all in PRACTICE I imagine.....even though I told them 100 times doc doesn't hold practice....good thing all the team and the Boston Herald backed me up on that....WHy do I like the guy...for what he did in the PLAYOFFS....better known as THE ONLY TIME THAT MATTERS....but...only players understand that...oh well....it always goes this way. Stats....tell little under doc and no playing time....and Doc got rid of TA....hmmmm...one of the best defenders at his size.....sounds familiar.....and lets see...for one more year...well it has been a few more than one....TA is still going strong...so who was wrong there.....So you have a few guards that proved to be no good....you live with them.....or waive them....you can be your own huckleberry.

1.  Doc doesn't hold practice?
2.  Doc got rid of Tony Allen?
3.  Terrence Williams played well in the playoffs?

I seriously question those statements.

Apparently a PER of 0.6, and a total of 5 points scored in 48 total minutes on 20% shooting, are a bit more impressive than one might think.

I will say that I liked TW's potential.  He has good size and is athletic.  I was rooting for him.  I never thought TW got a real chance last year.

BUT...There was a lot in that post that didn't make any sense to me.  Are you really going to try to justify your man-crush for him based on:
1ppg
2rpg
1.2apg
on 9mmg over 5 games in the playoffs.

Yeah, hold everything get TWill back because we cannot in any way replace those incredible numbers and effort.  Cmon, he hardly played in the playoffs, he hardly played all year.

Add in the gun issue, no matter if he was charged or not.  At this point I really doubt anyone in the C's brass is going to give much lenience if there is a sniff of any violent issue.  It really doesn't matter if what he did, with the Hernandez stuff do you really blame DA / Owners for taking the over cautious route?

I mean everyone has their underdog guy that we hope would make it.  It just isn't going to happen here for TWill.  Best of luck to him.

I'm not opposed to having TWill back. I'm a fan of his, I root for him. I think we would have seen more than what he shown during his limited time if he was given more of a chance. His athletic abilities and size is there. Tha talent is definitely there. I like his ball handling abilities and he's a good defender. I just hope he can find a team in tha NBA that will give him a chance. And if he finds his way back to Boston, I would welcome him back.

Bradley and Lee are most likely staying here but if Danny gets rid of both Crawford and Brooks I would like to see him re-sign Barbosa.

He looked pretty good compared to our other PGs during the playoffs.  Not sure that means we need to keep him, though. :-\

Although you qualify it with "compared", but shooting 20% from the field is quite far from "pretty good" by any stretch of the imagination.

To compare him with Allen is silly, Allen is a way better defender.   It's one thing to like the guy, he does have some athletic ability and size.  But let me make this clear your statements are your opinion not FACTS!

I think you like him as a player is it possible that is tinting your glasses a little too much?

Really Scal?!?!...You're gonna pull out the "Well I'm a player and players know" stuff?

Really?!?!

You haven't got a clue how far anyone on this site has gone playing ball. Maybe people just have a seriously different opinion on the guy and state the stats because the stats back up what they see and think and kind of disprove what you are saying.

I wonder if the irony here is just totally lost on the OP.

I mean, if you're going to pull the "players know" card in justifying your own evaluation of players, it's pretty hilarious to then in the same breath totally dismiss Doc as an evaluator of the same players.

As far as I know Doc has some experience around the game of basketball, particularly in terms of playing and coaching good defense.

But I guess that's just totally irrelevant?

Well...I don't mind a counterpoint....but you see....stats are best to describe an anvil, or a weight....something that is, and will never change. It IS 10 LBS, 6" in diameter...ect....A player..well, he is technically a rookie, has been backup pg on 4 teams, which to those who know, means no playing time, no ref respect IF he gets to play...then he is playing pg..the toughest position on the floor, and on docs team, so guys he never practiced with or played with...talk about a tough deal...and a pg..you talk about shooting...not really the job..THIS...is the things I expected SOMEONE here to already know.....some here do.....some.......But....I don't know why I bother here....and one more thing on STATS...those are best suited for a player who starts, gets to play consistently, so then you'd have a STANDARD by which to judge him...as he is now..he has too many variables for stats to mean anything.....don't bother with a reply if all this is over your head...I already know who is missing it.

Well, true, I like him as a player, nad I can see TA style of D in him....but how can anyone say yes or no in limited playing time...and no practice.....no practice when you are a rookie, trying to be the pg....in the playoffs, with guys you never played with, you don't know them, they don't know you......nothing here is facts...it is ALL our opinion.....take it easy pally....!

hey...your mancrush is from your experience, not mine.....you speak from your own life...not me....sorry pal. Otherwise....it is my point, I think he had a lot of potential, and I wasn't impressed as much with the other guards who are more experienced.

Well, maybe you don't live in Boston or watch the news, or read the sports, and the paper...it was said by many players, including KG himself....Fab Melo just said so also in a recent article in the herald....why do you point out parts that you don't know, and don't want to research...it is okay to not know....but don't stand on that as your point.

If anyone around the league thought half as highly of TW as you do, he would already be signed to an NBA team.

Now put down the binkie and walk away slowly.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I know it is hard for you to act mature...but there are standards here...how about trying a little harder. The first part of your post....maybe so....the second sentence...is pitiful.
