  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
why get rid of him?
Let him play. I haven't seen any reports of Danny trying to dump him. Let him play with some other young guys and a great coach like Stevens under some discipline and watch him grow.

Wizards sucked and he was a 12th man here with all our vets- a lot of pressure to perform.
Let him fight with Brooks for minutes.
He could develop and get better or maybe he wont. One thing is he could become a good trade asset or a Jamal Crawford type with the correct leadership/coaching staff and less pressure.

We are trying not to win too many games. Crawford is the perfect player to complement that strategy whilst improving his own game physically and mentally.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'd much rather have Crawford than Brooks.

I realize he isn't everybody's favorite type of player and he may not have the most endearing personality to a number of folks, but he isn't a bad player at all. For his career, he has averaged 13/3/3 over about 25 minutes a game. I understand that he isn't the most efficient player, but he is decent and there should be a market for him in this league.

The biggest difference is size.  Brooks at least theoretically has the tools to be a break even defender.  Crawford is not a point guard and he's too small to be a decent defender at the 2.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Glanced at thread title.  Misread as Crawford traded for Love.  Facepalmed and went into depression spiral upon realizing my mistake.

I'd love to trade him too.

Chump. I suppose there is talent in him somewhere, but he does not exude Celtic to me at all.

yea...but...for whom?!?!?!

We all don't want to win too many games so what the heck are we supposed to trade any one for? The only player i could actually say id like to have is D-cousins. Id run will rondo and him till the draft next year. I believe we got assets to pull off trades.

The trade is actually messed up i wanted to use philly as the 3rd team..BUT one of the cavs centers would go to the kings and that would actually be a pretty good trade
