why? Camby can't stay healthy or give you more than 5 minutes a night. He's a 3rd sting center at best at this stage.

They could have used Bass, especially if they get to the finals against the Heat.  I guess they still could.

They clearly do not want Bass.

Clearly. (and it's not just you)
Bass doesn't fit a run n' gun or outside-inside team.

I agree, Bass would not fit well on that team. It's wishful thinking by celtics fans to think Bass is considered useful to these contenders.

By the time Danny Aigne signs a free agent, it'll be time for the 2017-18 season.

Injury-prone or not, Camby's agent already said he's not signing anywhere unless he's given a solid role.

Yeah I think this means Asik is getting dealt. There are also a couple other guys on their roster who can play center, right?

for him, 5 mpg is a solid role. Besides, he's signing with Houston for a ring.

Well the one good thing is Bass' 17 foot jumpshots could create space for Howard to operate in the paint
Its never good when the PF and C clog up the paint offensively

While I disagree, let's pretend he is only going to get 5 minutes per game after all. Let's say Dwight gets 36. That's 41 minutes at the center spot; is Houston seriously going to pay Asik $8.4M next year to play 7 minutes off the bench?

Parsons can stretch the 4 all the way to the three point line, while being younger and cheaper than Bass.

Parsons can play the 3 n bass the 4 on offense and on defense gaurd the 3. I dont know how someone could say Bass wouldnt be a great fit for the Rockets. Defends and knicks down the midrange jumper with efficiency.

Bass would more than likely be a last resort option for Houston. They'd much rather get a guy like Ilyasova or Anderson, although I understand that New Orleans has no interest in Asik (despite their only centers being Stiemsma and Withey... go figure).
