That theme song says everything about him.

Put everything else aside, I don't think there is one player in the league that's as exciting and a joy to watch play the game of basketball like Rondo.  And I've heard non Celtic fans made claims like this as well.  Love the guy and can't wait for him to get back.

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
blood would’ve been green.  -  Bill "Greatest of All Time" Russell

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I think your point is definitely debatable, but I work in a number of schools in FL where Rajon is the students' favorite player in the nba. Unfortunately, he apparently seems to be underrated by other gms around the league...but I guess that just means we get to keep him, which is fine by me.

That tip pass to Pietrus was ridiculous. I've probably seen that a 100 times now, but it still wows me. This dude is probably the smartest player in the game today.

Derrick Rose is better.

If you think that, why even comment on the video?  I swear people argue just to hear the sound of their own voice.

Every time I start bringing my self to being okay with trading Rondo...

Some one posts a Rondo video and I get sucked right back into not wanting to trade him.

Chris Paul is the best point guard. This is commonplace
Paul took a team with just Tyson Chandler (non scoring big) to the 2nd round of the playoffs, within a game of getting to the Western Conference Finals. Him in clutch mode is scary

Chris Paul is the #1 PG in the league, undisputed in the regular season.

D-Rose was the best scorer from the PG position, if you're not counting Westchuck.

Rajon Rondo has been the best playoff PG, but it's not clear he can be that without KG/PP/Ray to carry the load.

That said, given that Chris Paul doesn't want to be a Celtic, I'm happy we have Rondo. Keep him unless you're getting a super star like Durant or a future star like Wiggins.

That was in 07-08
He had a young Tyson Chandler, David West, Peja Stojakovic, Morris Peterson, Bonzi Wells, Bobby Jackson.

Thats the only year he made it past the 1st round in a Hornets Jersey.
Every playoff appearance was a 1st round exit.

That year.

West avg 20 ppg and 9 rebounds
Peja avg 16
Chandler avg 11 ppg and 8 rebounds

Bonzi, Mo Pete and Bobby Jackson avg 8 points each off the bench.

So don't say that he carried that team. He had good production from the guys.
