Call me crazy but I'm actually starting to get excited about the kid.

Very well spoken. I was excited when we drafted him two years ago only to be disappointed when we traded him... I think he'll have a role here.

It sounds like he expects to be with the team this year. Sounds like he is excited to be in Boston..."Go Celtics!"

Saw him play in Providence, really hope he can make it. If he wants to be the next Kobe he better start working on his body. Says he has been focusing on shooting and explosivness, hope he is able to show it.

Sounds like Danny and Brad have already told him that defense is what he needs to focus on.

I like this kid. I am excited for this season...obviously not for reasons of winning games but rather to watch our guys develop.

We seem to be in pretty good shape! Rondo, future Kobe, Superman Jeff Green, future Dirk, and then of course Fab Melo who will develop into the next Kareem for sure haha.

But seriously, after we get wiggins he'll bring us not one, not two, not three...?

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
The Joe Johnson bit was really nice to hear. Humble guy.
I like Marcus Smart

Yeah, that's the part that stuck out to me. He sounded sincere in that he tried to make losing minutes more about having an opportunity to learn behind an All-Star caliber player.

Best Case: Nick Young
Worst Case: Henry Domercant

Brooks' scoring skill set is very advanced, as he's capable of scoring inside and out in a variety of ways, having extreme confidence in virtually every aspect of his scoring game. Brooks relies on contested pull-up jumpers for the majority of his offense, and he's capable of knocking down very high difficulty shots of this variety. Unfortunately, he's also highly prone to taking ill-advised shots early in the shot clock, showing very questionable decision-making in that regard.

No doubt he'll be a Celtic this year. He was a monster at Providence. Glad we get second chance with him.

I'll reserve judgement and player comparisons until we see how his offseason work translates on the court.

I'm not saying he's gonna ne a star or anything, but I think its selling him a bit short to say his ceiling is Nick Young. For one, he's not the knucklehead Nick Young is, and he seems to have a solid grasp on his deficiencies. That's half the battle. As long as he's aware of areas he needs to improve in, is open to coaching, and is willing to put in work, I don't see why he can't become a contributor.

I'm going to keep my expectations in check with Brooks, but he certainly has the chance to make an impact with two pass-first PGs in Rondo and Pressey (most likely). At the very least has a chance to out-Crawford Jordan Crawford on the roster.
